Family Dinner- Without Mark

Alex's sister Natalie is going to be Gage Golightly^^^^^^^^

Marissa's POV:

When I woke up, I saw Alex's arms wrapped loosely around my midriff that was turning big really quick. I smiled and turned around to kiss his cheek. He moved slightly and smiled a little, his eyes open and I saw those hazel green eyes stare right into mine with such love my breath caught.

"Hey." He whispered.

"Hey. When did you get here?"

"About three hours ago. You feeling any better? Your mom said that you looked worn out earlier." Alex said while rubbing my back. God, I loved this man.

"I'm better now but I wish Jessica wouldn't had said those things and I wish Mark wouldn't have yelled at me the way he did. Is he here? I wanna talk to him." I said prepared to move his arm and get out of bed to go to Mark's bedroom.

"Wait, Marissa. He's not here." He said looking down at me.

"What do you mean he's not here?" I half yelled.

"He said he didn't want to be here while you were here. He packed a bag and left. I'm sorry Riss."

I started crying uncontrollably. How could he do that? Since when was Mark the mean one? Even though he was born only a couple of seconds before Max was, he was always the nice twin and Max sometimes was the difficult one. I cried into Alex's shoulder while he held me.

I hope he'll be here for me when the twins come.

After my cry fest, I went downstairs to see cupcakes and chocolate hearts with my name on a piece of paper. "Are these for me Alex?" 

"Yes. Me, Desire, and Max went to a store after school and got it for you. Also my parents wanna see you today for dinner with your parents and and your brothers. Is that okay?" 

I swallowed and blinked a couple of times. This was all a lot to handle in one day. I rubbed my belly and asked my babies. "What do you two think? Wanna go meet daddies parents?" I asked knowinh they wouldn't respond back yet but I felt...something. A flutter of some kind.

"Uhm Marissa? I don't think they'll respond to you just yet babe." He said smiling and walking over to hold my hands while standing in front of me.

"I know. I like to think that they still have an opinion on anything that involves us. They fluttered so yes I would love to see your parents again. They just love me." I said smiling at him and kissing his soft lips.

"Have I told you today that I love you?" He asked.

I shook my head no even though he probably did.

"Well I love you Marissa Claire Smithfield." He looked at me lovingly.

"And I love you Alex Rodriguez Sanders."

FIVE HOURS LATER:

I had eaten all of my delicious treats and my whole family was now in the car on the way to Alex's house. Everyone except Mark.

My outfit was; a white t-shirt, horizon sweater, dark brown leggings, and some nice brown flats. Being pregnant was hard, but it was also fun because I didn't have to wear heels all the time.

We arrived at the house and Alex's family was just as rich as ours was. My mom and his mom work together. My dad and his dad are both doctors but his is a brain surgeon. His sister Natalie is just a sweetheart with only being a year younger than him. I loved his family.

"Welcome darling and our two grand babies. We hope you and the twins are comfortable in our home and Nat has something she wants to show you." Alex's mom said as I stepped out of the car with her help some.

"Okay. Where is Alex?" I asked. I just really wanted to see my boyfriend.

"He's in his room still getting ready. He should be done in a few minutes. Come in Marissa and you can go to Natalie's room if you like." Maria said smiling at me.

"Okay." I went upstairs and into Nat's room ro find her playing music and loosely curling her dirty blonde damp hair.

"Hey chica!" She said when she saw me standing by the bathroom door.

"Hey Nat! It's been so long!" I said smiling. She's a year behind all of us but she acts like the oldest sometimes. Since Alex is 18 and I'm 17 turning 18 in a few more weeks, Natalie is as old as me so we became friends really quickly. That's when she wasn't crushing over Max.

"Where's everybody else?"

"Downstairs. And Mark isn't here." I said sadly.

"Why not? You guys are like joined at the hip." She said done with her hair. She had on black leggings, white button shirt and a black tank top underneath, and some black mini wedges. 

"We got into a fight at school and he didn't wanna be in the same house as me so he left to one of his friends houses."

"Why did you guys fight?"

"Jessica and him were sleeping together. He came up to me in the lunchroom and cussed me out saying that I told Jessica to break up with him. I didn't and he won't even believe me." I started crying again.

"Awwe Marissa, it'll be okay. Mark is just upset right now, he'll come around eventually." Natalie said.

"I know I know. I just cry a lot because of the pregnancy and my hormones are even worse because I'm pregnant with twins so everything will be harder, crazier, and bigger." 

"I totally forgot you were pregnant! Do you have a baby bump yet? Do you know the genders? When are they due? Can I start buying you stuff?" 

"Whoa, hold on! I do have a baby bump. I don't know the genders. I am due July. And yes, you can absolutely buy me stuff. Wanna see my bump?"

She nodded excitedly. I stood up and pulled up my shirt and sweater to reveal my stomach that was growing pretty big.

"Awwe! That is so cute!" 

I pulled everything back down and hugged her, thanked her, and left  to Alex's room. I knocked on the door and when his deep gravelly voice invited me in I smiled real big.

He turned around and saw it was me. I swear his face lit up so bright that I was sure the sun was cowering in envy. I walked over and he hugged him.

"Hey babe. Were you just at Nat's room?" He said and his voice made me smile again.

"Yeah, she wanted to see my baby bump too. I wish I had a sister." I said sighing in his chest while he rubbed my back.

"You feeling any better?" 

"Yes, I am." I titled my head up and kissed him and he chuckled under the kiss. I seriously love this boy.

"I love you." He said we continued to kiss.

"I know you do." He broke off the kiss and I almost whimpered from the loss of his lips on mine. But then I saw what he was doing and I almost cried.

He bent down towards my stomach and pulled my shirt and kissed it twice in two different sections then whispered, "And I love you guys too. Daddy loves you." Then he stood back up after putting my shirt back in place and grabbing my hands bringing them up to his mouth to kiss them.

"Let's go downstairs for dinner, yeah?" 

"Yeah. I am completely, utterly, undeniably, and overwhelmingly in love with you Alex Rodriguez Sanders." I said smiling.

"And I am completely, utterly, undeniably, and overwhelmingly in love with you Marissa Claire Smithfield."
