Beep! Beep! Beep!

Urgh! What is that annoying ass sound?! I groaned and fluttered my eyes open and saw Alex asleep in a chair next to my bed but not just any bed. A fuckin' hospital bed! Why am I in the hospital?! I lifted my hand and nudged Alex awake and he just groaned. I rolled my eyes. Idiot.

I nudged him again and he finally awoke, his eyes turning wide before he got up ran out the room and slammed the door shut. What the fuck is wrong with him? He came back in with a nurse who looked to be in her early twenties. Her name tag read Alarrah Cipriano.

"Hi Ms. Smithfield! I will be your nurse for today and I just have to ask you a couple of questions. Okay?" She said happily.

"Okay that's fine with me." I said nonchalantly.

"Okay well first off, how are you feeling? Pain ranges between 1-10?"

"I'm not feeling really any pain."

"Okay well thats good. I know that your about six months pregnant so we should do a ultrasou-"

"Wait hold on. I'm only four months pregnant. Not six." I said panicking.

"Riss you were in a coma for two months. You got into a car accident and hit your head pretty hard that you were induced into a coma." Alex said looking down at the ground.

"Oh..." Was all I could muster up to say.

"Well we do need to get you a ultrasound so lets have Dr. Maria come in to do that."

I just sat there not comprehending anything until Dr. Careen- er, I mean Dr. Maria came in with the ultrasound products.

"Hello Marissa! I hope your doing okay today." She said in her usual peppy voice that made me feel kinda better.

"Yeah so far." I said smiling back at her.

"Okay so what I need you to do is lift your gown up but wrap the blanket around your waist. Okay?"

I nodded and proceeded to do what she asked me to. I lifted it up and gasped loudly. There were bruises all over my stomach.

"WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED TO MY STOMACH?!" I started hyperventilating.

Alex came and cupped my face. "Babe calm down. Just calm down...it's okay."

"It happened in the accident. Nothing happened to the babies and that's why we wanted to do an immediate ultrasound once you woke up." Dr. Maria said.

I nodded and she squirted the gel on my stomach. I hissed in a breath.

Still cold as fuck, I see. She moved the wand over my stomach and then I heard my babies heartbeat. I wanted to cry from relief.

"Oh thank god their okay! Thank you so much Dr. Maria!" Alex exlaimed while tears glided down my face.

"No problem Alex. But Marissa you do need to be in bed rest for probably the rest of your pregnancy just so you don't miscarry those beautiful twins there. Okay?" She said while I wiped the twars and gel from my face and stomach.

"Yep. Do you know if I will still be due in July or earlier than that because of the accident?" I asked pulling down my gown while Alex lifted the bed back up to its normal height.

"Well if you keep your legs up and refrain from walking around a lot then you should be fine. Any more questions?" Me and Alex shook our heads. "No? Okay then, nurse Alarrah can you please follow me to chwck up on some more patients..." Her voice faded away as she began moving out of the room.

Alex just stood beside the bed loosely holding my hand. "So did i miss anything at school over the last two months?" I said smiling softly at him.

He looked so distraught when he looked down at me with a pained expression.

"Marissa I need to tell you something and I waht you to not freak out over it, okay?" He said his voice strained and wavering a little.

My smiled slipped off my face and I reached out to touch his face but he flinched before I could even brush his face with my fingertips. "Alex, are you okay? What happened while I was out?"

"It actually happened before your coma. I did something terrible and it caused you to get into that damned accident."

"Alex your starting to scare me. What happened? What did you do?" I half yelled. He took a seat in the chair again and put his head in his hands muffling a sob. What did he do?

"I-I-I cheated on you with L-Lexi. Marissa I swear I didnt mean for it to happen. It just did."

My world stopped as images poured in from that day before I got hit. Me waking up, to me singing in the shower, to me arriving at school, to me seeing Lexi and Alex in a heavy/steamy makeout session by the front of the doors. I ran or more like waddled/ran back to my car and started driving in the pouring rain and then tried to drive while I was practically drowning in my own tears. Then I saw two headlights coming towards my car and then I was in a bunch of pain.

I am currently sobbing on the bed sideways so I dont have to be faced towards. He tried to touch me but I didn't let him. Desire came into the room her face stuck with worry when she saw me crying and then she looked at Alex who was behind me still sitting and probably still crying too. 

"Did you tell her?" She asked him.

"Yeah I just did. I'm so stupid! Marissa you have to believe me when I say I really do love you." He said his voice evident of the fact that he was crying.

I sat and looked at him. "NO YOU DON'T! BECAUSE IF YOU DID, YOU WOULDN'T HAVE CHEATED ON ME ALEX! SO NOW YOU CAN GET THE HELL OUT!" I shouted at him and he got up and ran out the door while I slumped back down in my chair to cry some more. Desire rushed over to me and hugges me like all of the other times when I had my heart broken. Except this wasn't some guy that I could easily get over.

This was my babies daddy.
