Louis hands me the spoon, and I lick the brownie batter off. I was craving brownies all day, and he always comes through for me. Louis is like my ideal husband. Except he's not my husband, and he's not Harry.
Louis moved in last month, and he's been ever so helpful to me. He buys me food, brings me food, cooks me food. That's all I could ever need. Especially with this baby on its way. I have started to show just a little.
"Jennifer?" Louis whispers. He waves his hand in front of my face. I snap out of my trance, my hand is to my face. He bends to pick up the spoon I apparently dropped. "You ok, love?" He puts his hands on my shoulders. He gives a gently squeeze, and grazed his hands up to the crook of my neck. I am completely caught off guard, and he pushes my hair behind my ear. The level of intimacy is unnecessary. And I clear my throat, and pull his hands away. He looks down, and frowns.
"I'm fine, just thinking," I say, scratching my head. He nods his head. "I need to go lay down, can you finish up here?" I ask, gesturing to the brownies, and the mess.
"Of course. The brownies will be ready when you wake up."
I trudge upstairs and go into my room. I lay the sheets down, and sit down on the bed. I play with my hands for a bit, turning my engagement ring on my finger. I decide to take it off-which I never do. I needed to stop worrying about him, he was gone. It was clear that he wasn't coming back now. I love him, and I also love our child and he should return the amount of love. But he just doesn't. I lie down and push my left arm under the pillow, and my right over my slightly bloated tummy. I want to cry, and scream and kick at the ground and punch brick walls, and cry and fall in love (and make him stay), and just EVERYTHING. But the first thing I want is Harry. Harry was my wall, my heart, my beautiful soul mate. I can't believe he left me.

"Jennifer!" My mother calls. I open the bathroom door, and pad downstairs. She has her arms crossed, and her foot tapped. Her sly brow is in affect, and I was actually scared. She looks me up and down.
"Jennifer. Please quit moping around. It's embarrassing. It's totally the opposite of what you should be doing. You should be going out, meeting nice boys, having fun." She walks over to me. My mouth hangs to the floor.
"Embarrassing! Embarrassing to who? You? I'm sure as hell am not embarrassed that I am upset that my fiancé-whom I love- left me and our child the day before the wedding! I love him, mother. I'm not going to be with someone else just to spite him." She rolled her eyes, and pushes her hair from her eyes.
"Well, quit wasting your time. It's been a month and a half, and you can't even walk out of your house. You make the Lewis boy do everything for you!" She says harshly. I cringe as she says Lewis.
"His name is Louis, mother. And that's why he moved in. To help me. To take care of me. If you have a problem with that, then you can leave." I say stubbornly. She looks offended, and I just smirk. My mother always challenges me. It's God-awful. So she sticks up her nose, grabs her purse, and leaves. I turn and find Louis, who is standing at the bottom of the stairs. His arms crossed, his face down.
"I-I'm sorry you had to see that," I told him. He shouldn't have to hear us fighting. Maybe he shouldn't be here at all...
"No, it's okay. But your doctor called and said you needed to schedule an appointment to find the gender, and check heartbeats, and other pregnant lady stuff." He smiled lightly. I laughed at him. He turned and walked up the stairs, leaving me alone. I slowly walk towards Harry's car keys. When I grab them, I speed towards the door. But just as I reach the door knob, Louis is yelling.
"Jen!" He says. "Jen! Jen! Jen!" He screams. He races down the stairs, with a crumbled piece of paper in his hands.
He waves it in the air as soon as we lock eyes. I look at him like he was insane.
"Jen! Oh my god, you'll never guess..." He trails. He smoothed the paper out and read it. He looks up at me.
"Jennifer, this is a note. From your beloved."
I snatch the paper out of his hands.
"Where did you find this?" I shriek.
"In the soon-to-be baby room. It was just sitting there, in the floor!" He smiles.
I look back down at the note.
Hello, Jennifer.
How have you been? I'm sure you didn't find this, I bet one of the boys did. You never go into the baby room. Anyhow, I bet you're wondering where I am, and how the hell you are going to kill me when you find me. But, that's exactly what I'm doing. I'm leaving you little bread crumbs, piece by piece. Come find me, Jen. One last adventure.
All the love, -H.
I read it over and over again. I'm so happy, he's okay! He's playing a game. We always had adventures. Like this one time, we hunted alligators with his friend Mario. Then we ran from rhinos, with his friend Hardin (we were on carts of course). Then we went deep sea diving, to take pictures.
"Louis! Can you believe it!" I said. I hung my arms around his neck. I pushed back from him and examined the note. I turned it over, and saw tiny words on the corner. I brought it closer to my face, and found that they were an address.
2169 Fort drive.
That's where he proposed to me!
I quickly tell Louis, and we're off.
I jump in the car and he gets in the driver side. He drives so fast the tires spin.
I'm so excited.
