We race back to the car, and I am panting so hard that I lean against the door for a few seconds. Louis looks at me with concern. I smile, and open the door.
Our first anniversary... That's tough. We did so much that day. We went to dinner, then a premiere or something.
"I can't remember what event we went to on our first anniversary," I say out loud, mostly to myself. Louis looks at me, and his eyes linger for a beat too long. I push my hair behind my ear. "Why are you staring at me?" I ask with a hint of rage laced in my voice. My emotions are ragged considering I'm pregnant and all. He just chuckles. I raise my brow at him.
"I just find it odd that He is sending you on a wild goose chase while you're pregnant. Why would he leave such a gorgeous woman behind who is carrying his child? I would have never left you like that.
