The drive felt like it took years. I just wanted to see him. Just in person. I missed him so much. Louis looks over at me and gives me the biggest smile. He's happy too. I start to tap my foot. Anxious, nervous, excited, and every other emotion.
We finally arrive, and we're at the big grass field where Harry proposed to me when we were laying in the woods that were to the left of the field.
I push past the car door, and run into the woods to get to the exact place Harry proposed; right next to the stream that ran through the woods. It was such a beautiful place. We both loved that field so much. Most of our important memories were there. I walk along the stream and scan the ground, hoping to find something.
Louis comes up beside me, I can see him moving his head around trying to find something too. I then become too impatient and sit down in the grass/mud and push my knees up to my chest, which I can't do as well as I used to. My little baby bump is starting to show. I watch Louis walk around the stream, eyes going from left to right, then up to down. Like clock work. He looks over at me and frowns. He shifts his gaze down, and he freezes. He looks back up to me, and nods his head. I push myself up so quickly, I get dizzy. I run over to him, but then I slide in the mud and go right towards the creek.
I am caught by Louis' arm, and pulled back to him. He's laughing at me so hard he starts wheezing. Then he controls himself and bends over to pick something up. It's a tiny brown box-no wonder I didn't see it. It blends in with the the mud. He starts to open it but then hands it to me. I rip it from his hands, and give him an apologetic look. He just smiles. I unhook the little clasp that holds the box tightly shut. I open the lid and there is a small picture.
A picture of us from one of our anniversaries. I lift the picture, and see a tiny ring. The promise ring he gave me on our one year anniversary. I pull the ring from the box, and examine it. How did he get this out of the house without me noticing? I pass Louis the box with the picture. He messes around with the box, and looks at the picture a bit longer. I look over to him, and see scribbles on the back of the picture. I shriek.
"Louis! Turn it around! Turn it around."
He flips it over, and looks at it.
'Love, you managed to get this far! How? Haha. We took this picture on our one year anniversary. Where did we go? Don't you remember? Go there.'
