Hannah's P.O.V

'Why would Grace want to hangout with me?' I thought on my way to work. 'Maybe all of her friends are busy and she's just bored? That must be it,' I told myself.

Shaking away my thoughts with a shiver down my back, 'Bored or not, I get to see her.' I smiled and continued on my way into the Starbucks.

Work went by slow and painfully. As if Grace would never come, it felt like it was a minute with every tick of the clock and an hour with every minute. The day dragged on, and it was almost 4. Grace will be here any minute. A sick feeling entered my stomach as I remembered why I felt this way.

'I'm gay. Don't let her know.' I repeated these words in my head over and over. 'Don't let her know. Don't let her know.'

I was washing the dishes when I heard the store bell ring, and I heard a beautiful voice.

"Isn't Hannah working today?" It was Grace.

"Yes she is, she's off in about 10 minutes, can I get you a drink while you wait?" My boss answered her.

"No thanks," I heard her reply politely. I still couldn't see her, but I can imagine that she's as beautiful as always.

Grace's P.O.V

I sat at a small rounded table, waiting for Hannah. When finally, I heard her speaking with the man who offered me a drink.

"I have tomorrow off, right?" She asked him.

'That must be her boss,'

He nodded his head.

"Great. Thanks. See you Wednesday." She spoke, then removed her apron to reveal a dark blue button up with light blue sleeves.

I smiled at myself for thinking, 'damn,'

Hannah glanced over to me, she obviously knew that I had come in earlier. Then she looked down, but she didn't smile, she looked a little scared. She walked over to me.

"Hey Grace," she spoke, voice cracking slightly.

"You okay Hannah? You look kinda nervous or scared or something."

"What?" She's distracted too, "Oh no no, I'm fine." She faked a smile.

"Okay, let me know if something's wrong okay?" I rested my hand on her elbow. She just nodded. "Want to go get an early dinner somewhere?"

She nodded again, "Sure," she practicality whispered.

'Don't let her know. Don't let her know.'
