Between the drama, the pressure, and the insecure relationships some might call it worse than prison. The only separation between prison in school is mandatory learning and the people that say they care about you. Though, the amount of fights at my school are low, I'm not going to lie, there is a fair amount of animosity.

They stand out as the school champions and model students. But none of them can keep a relationship. People act like they want to get hurt, so they throw themselves to the wolves and attempt to get out.

My name is Natalie Barton, and I am a antisocial pessimist. When I walk past people, they shiver, no guy has looked at me since I became a Freshman, I'm a junior now. My heart can freeze the Pacific Ocean, and my irrational behavior is second only to House. I'm the girl that's athletic, but isn't allowed to join a team. The same girl that looked like a boy until 8th grade year. Not to mention the baggy T-shirts over capris.

And finally, after a 16 year wait, I kind of look like a girl. I let my straight mocha brown hair down, and brushed it for a change. I curl my eyelashes and put on eyeliner to bolden my bright aqua eyes. The baggy T-shirts turned into pajamas, while the capris were traded for jeans. My shirts have been limited to 2 Fish shirts and semi dressy tops. However pink will make its way into my wardrobe the day the color black is considered part of the rainbow.

Welcome to my world where I don't look for drama, it finds me. Somehow, I become a gender translator/couples therapist. Only in the end to find complicated and embarrassing moments that have scarred me for life.

Sincerely, main character, Natalie Barton.
