After eating such a wonderful meal, I realized just how many dishes there were left over to wash up. As a thank you for Mrs. Osaka's wonderful hospitality, I offered to help her with the job. It's the least I could do after eating a banquet like that.

AKI: "Need any more help with the dishes, Mrs. Osaka?"

MRS. OSAKA: "Oh, you're sweet! We're fine. Shizuku's upstairs. Go on, she'll get you settled."

AKI: "Oh yeah, about that, which room will I be staying in tonight?"

MRS. OSAKA: "Don't worry, Shizuku will take care of that. She'll be in her bedroom, first door on the right." *giggle*

AKI: "Thank you."

I bowed my head and made my way over to Shizuku's room.

I knock on the door and when called I open it, and... whoa.

My jaw drops before I can stop it

My jaw drops before I can stop it. This is Shizuku's room? It's like stepping into a scene from one of those fancy dramas she's always going on about. I'm standing here, just taking it all in, and I can't help but feel like I've wandered into some kind of princess's chamber.

The place is huge, and it's got this glow, like the whole room's been dipped in gold. That chandelier up there, dripping with light, is straight out of a movie! Fancy, warm, making everything look soft and dreamy.

The bed catches my eye first. It's massive, with these tall posts and a canopy draped in pale green fabric, like something out of a fairy tale. It's got a fluffy quilt, pillows piled high, and I can already tell it's way comfier than my lumpy futon. There's a nightstand next to it, holding a little lamp with a cream shade, a vase of purple flowers, and a round mirror, small touches that scream Shizuku.

It's the little things that count!

Above that, a shelf with framed photos and a silhouette of a lady in a hat. It's so her, all artsy and dramatic. I can just imagine her staring at that silhouette, dreaming up her next big role.
