*LIFE DESIGN CLASSROOM - NIJIGASAKI HIGH SCHOOL - ODAIBA - TOKYO*

TEACHER: "...As you can see, there are many different fields of expertise when it comes to life design."

EMMA: "So we can learn about medicine, welfare, beauty, interior design, or even traditional culture, huh?"

LANZHU: "Lanzhu guesses if it's supposed to enrich our lives overall, it's only natural that we'd learn about a bunch of different things."

KANATA: "Yeah, but it's almost too much stuff... I feel like I might burst!"

TEACHER: "And with that, let us move right on to the experience program, shall we? Did you all bring some old clothes with you?
Today, each group will be asked to make an outfit using repurposed old clothing. After that, you will wear them and put on a fashion show."

EMMA: "It's just like you said, Karin. I brought my clothes!"

KARIN: "And what did you bring, Emma? Wow! Isn't this a traditional outfit?!"

EMMA: "Yep! It's a little piece of treasure I brought over when I came to Japan."

KARIN: "Let me get a good look at that... It may be old, but the fabric and sewing are exceptional. The embroidery is hand-stitched, too."

KANATA: "Are you sure we can use this today?"

EMMA: "This is exactly what I want to use it for. I got this out as soon as I heard we might be repurposing old clothing.
I took really good care of this outfit, but it's too small for me to wear now.
Even so, it's not like I can just throw it out.
So that's why I want it to be used to make something new today.
If I can repurpose my beloved outfit with my beloved friends Karin, Kanata, and Lanzhu, I'm sure it'll end up being a treasure that I'll love even more!"
