The main meeting's wrapped up, and most presidents have trickled out, their footsteps echoing down the hall.

But a group of us linger. The ones who can't just walk away from this.

Shioriko's still at the head of the table, her fingers laced like she's holding everything together by sheer will.

I'm beside her, my Vice-President armband feeling heavier than usual. Shiro's standing by, his usual easygoing vibe replaced by something sharper. I can tell that he's not happy something like this happened...

Midori Makishima, the Theater Club President stands with Valentin, her Vice-President by her side. Geez... Shizuku will have to hold that responsibility next year, I wonder what time that will leave her for the School Idol Club.

Hiro Kawakami, the Tabletop Games President, stands, though I guess this must be different from the game night meetings he's used to.

President Arata Kushida of the Magical Girl Studies Club (still trying to come to understanding how that's a thing), sits and fidgets with a magical-girl keychain.

Next to him is Tamaki Saito, Rina's friend and Video Games Club President. He's practically sunk into his seat the poor guy...

Kaito Shinoda, President of the Manga Club, he's here too, with that usual smile on his face. But I bet he's masking worry.

Cinema Studies Club President Daichi Fujioka stands elegantly by, also wanting the same answers we do.

The Animation Club's couple, President Charlie Sinclair and Vice-President Mako Omine also sit by. I know how his temper can be, and those balled fists with white knuckles tell the story. His best friend got taken out, so I can't blame the guy.

Finally, Rio Hasegawa the Basketball team captain stands with her arms crossed, her athletic frame radiating impatience. She looks so different in her uniform.

This is the core group now, the ones who won't let what happened to Sora slide. He's still hospitalized, but he won't say a word about who did it. The police have nothing, the faculty's at a loss.

Without any answers, I'm worried that the harmony between the clubs might crack again. I know I've caused that in the past, but I want to do whatever I can to prevent it.

I can't shake the thought of Sora in that hospital bed, silent. Someone put him there. And we're all looking at each other like the answer's in this room.
