CHAPTER FIVE

Cruz POV

I knew it was cruel to trap her like this but ever sense I met her I have always wanted to protect be there for her shield her from this sometimes evil world. I want her to feel safe around me and never feel like I would take advantage of her presence. Even if sometimes I come of as the cocky or the " I don't care type" when it comes to her it's different , so I have to do this I have to get her to trust in me.

"Lesson Vanessa I - " I was cut of by her sweet voice.

"Cruz look its okay what ever you saw and what ever you didn't see doesn't matter, I know it was an accident and I'm okay with it so if you don't mind lets just drop it and forget it ever happened", I had never seen her be so up front, it kinda turned me on to be honest.

"Okay sure, as long as you know it was an accident and I would never take advantage of you like that then sure I would love that",I managed to say proud that I handle the situation with care and caution.

"Okay great, i know you wouldn't take advantage of me and sorry u had to see me like that I know it must not have been the prettiest sight and - ",this time I cut her off by putting my finger over her full glossy lips and taking a step forward. Due to the fact she was smaller than me to some extent I looked down at her so close to her that I could feel her breathing pattern had increased and the warmth of her body. I had the urge to kiss her but pushed through.

"Vanessa with all respect and don't take this the wrong way but your HOT and don't ever doubt yourself" I stepped and saw her big brown eyes starring at me like a puppy dog marveled by my words. You couldn't really see her blush to to her complexion but you could always tell she was embarrassed by the way her cheeks puffed up.

"So lets get this show on the road and get these bags in the trailer"

Vanessa POV

Oh .. My .. Gosh did that really just happen did Cruz just say that to me? I tried to calm my breathing pattern as I helped Cruz load the trailer connected to the car. I don't even know how to respond to that so I didn't, I just focused on helping him out. Once all done the family came down and prepared the car for are departure.

"So is every one down here" John asked.

"No, Kyle is still upstairs recovering from all those baked beans he had for breakfast, if I say so myself we might as well save ourselves from torture and leave him behind", Cruz said jokingly but I knew apart of him was serious.

"We leave no man behind, Cruz first rule of camping one oh one", John said with a dead straight look on his face. In all the years I had known John I had never seen him so high strung but when it comes to planning this trip he is like a military Sargent.

"Ha, yea the rules I forgot about those", Cruz announced letting out a laugh.

"You have rules" ,I said not so surprised as I seemed.

"Yes the five camping Thompson family rules one - ", yet again as it had became a habit to do this to each other Cruz cut his dad of .

"Let me handle this one dad, 1. Never leave a man behind, 2. Never leave the camp site alone 3. Respect everyone you met 4. Don't go to toilet in the bush if you don't want to be surprised by a nasty visitor and five, five", Cruz trembled on his words as if it was to painful to say.

"5. No fraternizing with the guests on camp.",he said this slow and deep as he looked into my eyes. I couldn't break the trance.

"Hey guys I'm all better now and I'm ready to get this show on the road", Kyle said breaking us out of our trance and focusing are attention back on him.

"Okay well since I connected the seven seater to the caravan/trailer. I want Cruz and Vanessa up back to keep watch on the food cause we all know how Kyle can be. Kyle in the middle and your mother and I of course up front",John yet again commanded and no one dared to argue.

We all got into the car and as John drove the car out of the drive way I could feel a uncontrollable amount of sleep needed. Since John did wake me up so early and I barely slept with the amount of thoughts racing through my mind. I could feel my body shutting down and slowly but surely I was off I just remembered my head laying on something broad.

CHAPTER SIX

Cruz POV

Vanessa had fallen asleep on my lap she looked so peaceful like her dreams had taken her to her sanctuary. I couldn't help but stare even though she was unaware that she was sleeping right on my lap. I wanted this moment to last forever. Every movement every moan made me want to attend her every need but I new deep down I couldn't I new that this would all end in a world of pain

*flash back*

1 month ago

"I saw the way you where looking at Vanessa at dinner today",my dad spoke as if I had committed some sort of sin.

"Yea I was just being attentive", I said trying to justify my actions.

"Look Cruz don't try to lie we know that look you used to give Cindy that look all the time and look where that landed you with a broken heart and -", I interrupted my father knowing I wasn't going down this road again.

"Dad you know Vanessa nothing like Cindy so with all respect I would appreciate if you wouldn't compare them like that", I said starting to get really irritable.

"Look honey your father and I know that Vanessa is a great girl and we love her but you know that she is a year and a half younger than you and she is well still growing" ,my mother said in the most compassionate way she could.

"See your mother and I are just worried about you and trust me I love Vanessa we are very close with her family and we know she is a sweet, beautiful, intelligent lovely young women and of course you would be attracted to her. But Cruz she is just so young and still finding herself and you are too we just think that it's best if you don't start anything." ,My father said as if he was giving me an option but really he was just giving orders as he always does.

"Okay look forget I'm not attracted to her, I don't like her and I don't want to be in a relationship so if its okay DROP IT!", I said giving some orders of my own and stormed upstairs.

* flash back over *

If only things where simple but I couldn't control my feelings Vanessa just made me feel peaceful I wanted her to sleep in my arms like this forever.
