CHAPTER SEVEN

Vanessa POV

I woke up to voices and confusion I guess we had arrived. I wanted to lift my head but it felt as if the thing keeping it up had a warmth and comfort of its own. I also realized it had a pulse I quickly came to the realization that this was no animate object. I jolted up to my embarrassment to find Cruz starring right at me.

"Hey sleepy head you passed out before we where half way out the drive way" he said it with such warmth and compassion .

"Um... ha yea um sorry about you know suffocating you", I managed to let out the right words in my cluttered state of mind.

"No it's okay and you weren't suffocating me, you know I guess I'm just a magnet to girls" he said making me feel even more embarrassed. But I wasn't gonna let him have that sort of power on me.

I couldn't fight the urge to roll my eyes " yea I mean I couldn't fight it , it's just something that draws me too you", I said lowering my voice and moving up so close if I moved my face a inch closer are lips would touch.

( clears throat) "ummmm really", he said I could feel his pulse increase at a rapid rate so I slowly backed away not removing my gaze.

"Uh nuh" I said.I could tell he was shocked at my sudden change in behavior but I couldn't help but mess with him. I hoped outside of the car, the camp ground smelt like fresh pine cones. It was so good I couldn't help but inhale the sweet smelling scent. I help gather and set the caravan up. It was still early in the afternoon and there weren't many kids my age at the camp ground. I was finally settled when I heard two very familiar voices.

Oh My Gosh Cruz, Kyle I can't believe you beat us here, It was Cindy and her brother brain. I was suddenly confused me and Cindy where friends we went to the same church with Cruz and well we always got along but why was she here? I knew her and Cruz had a thing back in the day but I never told her my feelings so he was always free to however.

"Hey Cindy",I said unaware of her response.

"Oh My Gosh, Vanessa what you doing here?I thought your family was going to Africa",she said in a almost sincere way but you never knew with Cindy.

Before I could even answer Cruz answered for me like he had some right to defend me, "she is staying with us causes he had her own reasons for staying behind" .

"Okay not gonna argue with that, Oh My Gosh Vanessa the swill is so good out here you should totally come for a surf with us Cruz is sook good",she said trying to make a awkward situation pleasant for her anyway.

"Um I don't surf Cindy remember its not my thing", i said quiet bluntly.

"Don't worry I promised I well teach you if it's the last thing I do",Cruz said with that smile that I just couldn't say no to.

"OKAY! Lets go",I said trying to please everyone.

"Let's get dressed",Cindy said dragging me away.

I stepped out of the caravan to find Cruz shirtless again in red trunks I couldn't help but stare at his perfectly chiseled abs. i tried to focus my attention into green and blue eyes that where already gawking at me.

"What is there something on my face",I said trying to figure out his sudden interest in me.

Cruz POV

She looked amazing in her bikini I couldn't help but stare trying to memorize every inch of her body but I was sadly interrupted by Vanessa voice.

"CRUZ, are you okay",Vanessa said in a voice of concern but before I could answer Cindy interrupted like usual.

"Oh don't mind Cruz he gets like that every time I'm around",she said making everything about her even though at this moment I could care less about how she felt.

"Shut up Cindy, actually I was just, just um admiring the trees",the tress really is that all I could come up with, I knew i couldn't say that really I was just gawking at how amazing Vanessa looks.

"Uh huh I'm sure", she spoke in the most unconvincing way that wouldn't even convince a blind person they where blind.

"So...... you guys ready to go",Vanessa said breaking the tension.

"Yea if your are game", I said challenging her.
