continued...

"Hello everyone," Adrienne greeted into the microphone. I noticed she had an American accent instead of an English one. "I'm Adrienne and this first song goes out to all of the invisibles out there." She added a chuckle to the end and God it was beautiful. She began to count to three, signaling the drummer and bassist to start with her. As soon as she started strumming her acoustic guitar, I recognized the song and felt a sense of nostalgia.

      "Her name is Noel.."

Everyone in the party seemed to be indifferent about her. They continued on with their dancing and drinking and talking and I didn't understand how they could. Her voice mesmerized me in a sort of way.

"I have a dream about her, she rings my bell."

"Harry, sit down, drink!" Niall's voice suddenly cheered. I didn't want to take my eyes off her but I had to do Niall wouldn't notice and tease me. I sat down beside him and nonchalantly led my eyes back to Adrienne.

"...but she doesn't know who I am, and she doesn't give a damn about me."

I nodded my head to the chorus, lightly singing along to Wheatus's Teenage Dirtbag. It was a favorite of mine and I was kind of glad she liked the same type of music too. Or she could be just singing it because she wanted to look "cool", but I doubt it.

"So, what do you major in Harry?"

I snapped my head to Karma who had asked me the question.

      "English."

"So you like writing then?" She smiles. I nod my head and smile back.

I do like to write a lot. Mostly I write the random things that come to my mind when I'm just sitting in a classroom or when I'm taking the train or even when I'm just sitting in the commissary. Most people would say my writing was dark and mysterious, I like to think its poetic.

"Hey everyone!" Louis threw his hands up, entering the small circle, sitting almost right on top of Niall. "What's everyone up to? Enjoying yourselves, I hope."

"Of course! We were just talking about Harry, here." Dylan nods to me with a devious grin. Louis looks up and meets my gaze.

"This guy," Louis starts. "This guy is such a fücking prick!" He sloppily shares, letting his voice jump up a few octaves.

"Yeah, because I wouldn't allow you to cheat off me." I rolled my eyes and take a long sip of my drink. (At this point I wanted to be drunk so I could handle Louis' lack of intelligence).

"And here you are, on my couch, drinking my booze. Funny how things work out." He deadpanned.

"If you want me to leave just say it, Louis." I smile in an annoyed way.

"No, no! All is well, mate. Enjoy your night." He brushed it off, all signs of passive-aggressiveness immediately shoving off. "I think I spotted Hudson in the kitchen earlier so I'm going to try my luck."

I audibly snort calling a "good luck" after him.

After he was completely gone, I focused back on Adrienne who was already singing a song by The Who. Without thinking, I picked myself up off the couch and went to go find Hudson. It took me awhile but I found her already walking away from Louis with an amused expression on her face.
