Just Another Day...

Chapter 1

My mother always told me when I younger to be true to myself and treat others the way you wanted to be treated. I always did as she told me but others didn't make that easy for me but of course some did. My best friend Kimberly is an example who did make my life much better and I don't know what I would do without her. Unfortunately her parents got a divorce and her father and her moved to New York. Since I am going to New York for my sisters wedding I might as well go visit her!

Dear Kimberly,
I miss you so much... I've been always using the diary that you gave me. I love it so much.
My sister is getting married in New York! I know you're probably screaming right now. LOL!!!! I am going to come visit you! My dad spoke to your dad and I wanted it to be a surprise so yeah I just can't keep my mouth shut! See you in 7 days! Love ya honey!

I opened the door to my room and headed down stairs to my kitchen where I found my mom making dinner. "Mom can I go mail this letter across the street?" "Yes Amber but hurry dinner is almost ready!" I grabbed my letter and hoodie and took off!

"Good evening Mrs. Patterson!" Mrs. Patterson was our next door neighbour. I always babysit her grandkids for her when she has appointments or when she has bingo nights.

When I got home dinner was ready and it was the last dinner as a family before my sister Ashley gets married. My mother made it special, she made lasagna! My mother brought up the topic about kids and work. My father talked about bills and stuff and of course my mother told me to bring a date. I ignored her but my dad gave me the look.
I told them we should be happy for Ashley not and not focus on my love life!

Once dinner was done my sister had to go to   the airport she wanted to leave earlier to go buy her shoes and accessories.
"Bye Amber, I love you can't wait to see your date!" She giggled and gave me a hug.
"Bye Ashley see you in a couple of days!"
I hugged her and wished her a good flight! The taxi was finally here. My mom and dad said there goodbyes outside.

Days passed on and on and on! It was time to pack up and leave! We went to the airport and ran into my cousins, grandparents, aunts, uncles, etc.. I went to the washroom to go pee before the flight. I walked out but I bumped into someone...
"Watch where you're going dude!" I yelled.
This guy turned around and he was like a friggin angel! His brown hair glimmers, his eyes sparkle. He was perfect...
"Oh my goodness I am so sorry I didn't mean to say that it just slipped out!" I quickly replied. He laughed at me and said "Don't worry about it I wasn't looking where I was going." I turned around and walked away but he stopped me and said "Excuse me what's your name?" "Amber Leaves! What's yours?" "Cameron Dallas." He giggled and said "Amber you have toilet paper on your shoe!" I was super embarrassed and said "Thanks Cameron," and giggled. "See you around!" We went our separate ways. I went back to my family and he went another way.

My family and I got in line getting ready to board! I was super excited... I couldn't wait to see what's out there! But I always had my moms voice in my head don't forget your date! I had no one! I never dated someone before! I was a simple girl and I know that my true love is out there somewhere. We headed in the plane and I had an empty seat beside me at least that's what I thought! He headed right towards me... I quickly pretended I didn't know...I opened the instruction manual and started reading it.

"Amber! What a small world?" "Hey Cameron. Oh my goodness! What a small world!" He then sat down next to me.
"Why are you going to New York? Anything special?" My green eyes looked at his brown eyes and they met at the exact same time. "My sister is getting married and my best friend lives in New York! What about you?" "Congrats to your sister! That's so nice. What's your best friends name?" "Kimberly."
"Cool and I am going to New York because I need to get away from home which is next door to Helen, the girl who broke my heart."
"Cameron, are you ok?" "I found her cheating on me! I walked into her room with her making out with another guy! I broke up with her..." I saw a tear go down his face.
I felt so bad for him I wish I could offer him advice but I had nothing to say so I just said "I have never dated anyone before and my mom wants me to bring someone to the wedding! So don't worry my days are bad too." He quickly replied " I would love to go with you!"
I was shocked finally someone who wanted to go with me... I never felt this way before... I think he actually liked me and I think I was starting to like him...
