Just Another Day...

Chapter 5

Why would my dad knock on Pauline's parents door? Pauline and I hid in her bedroom! We were listening to there conversation...
"Where's my daughter Pauline?! I want to exchange twins. I hate my other daughter Amber! She's a disappointment! She never dated anyone before, never cooks, nothing at all!!"
Henry raised his voice and put his foot down.
"How dare you talk about your daughter that way! She looks up to you! I love Pauline and Amber! They're kind young children. Do you know how it feels to loose a child? It's the worst feeling ever! Pauline was our medicine. She helped us get through it all. Amber seems just like her."
"How do you know how Amber is? Do you think she has nothing better to do than come here? Just give me back Pauline! She was born 5 minutes before Amber. We only wanted one more kid! Amber was a mistake."
"Amber was not a mistake! Those twins found each other! They didn't plan it. If you didn't want Amber why didn't you give her to the orphanage and keep Pauline?"
"Because Ashley liked her! Our older child! She picked her. My wife and I wanted Pauline we even named her after my great, great, great grandmother! Amber was named after Ashley's Barbie!"
"Get out of my house now! I don't think your daughter will ever want to speak to you again!"
"Why wouldn't she? She's not here."
"I wouldn't be too sure about that!"
Henry closed the door.
Pauline was shocked.
"My parents actually want me! Oh my goodness Amber don't cry!"
Henry and Margret came in. Henry and Margret sat beside me on the bed.
"You know kiddo, we love you. Even though we just met. You seem like a dedicated young woman! I am sure your father didn't mean that."
Margret grabbed me tissues. Henry kissed my forehead. Pauline hugged me tight.
" I love you Amber!"
"Come on kids lunch is ready."

I felt different. I felt unwanted. I felt sick to my stomach. I didn't eat. I felt dizzy. I saw stars and I felt...
"Mom Amber fainted!"

I didn't know where I was. This always happened to me. I was in the hospital! I was wearing a blue dress and I was on IV. I was sick. Henry came in.
"Hey kiddo. You going to be okay! The doctor said it was stress related." Pauline was worried sick and I hope you don't mind but she called Cameron, Ashley and Kimberly. Who do you want to see first kiddo?"
"Pauline."
He left and Pauline came in.
She started crying.
"I thought I lost you. I am sorry I said what I said. I just felt wanted by my own parents for once."
"It's okay. Don't worry I just want you to know that I am not mad. I love you too!"
She left and Ashely came in.
"Hey there sweet cheeks. Kimberly told me everything. First I want to say congrats on your new boo! He's a keeper and secondly I love you. You know that right? Even if mom and dad don't want you I do. I love you."
"Wait! Ashely I love you! Thanks for coming!"
She left and then Kimberly came in.
"Amber. I friggin love ya! What is happening to you! I can't loose you. I love you!"
She started to cry and she then gave me a get well balloon.
"I love you too!"
She left and then Cameron came in.
I laughed as soon as I saw his face.
"I guess you saved the best for last eh? I don't know what I would do without you? You made my life so much better. Even if your parents don't want you I do! I'll always want you!"
"I love you Cameron."
He came closer and kissed me on my lips.
"I love you too Amber. I can't wait to introduce you to my folks."

I stayed in the hospital for 2 days. Everyone came to visit. I think I lost a couple of pounds because I hated the hospital food. The only food I liked was the blueberry muffins that they gave for breakfast. My own parents didn't know I was in the hospital.
Once I got out of the hospital I went to Kimberly's house and her dad comforted and made me chicken noodle soup. Everyone was so worried about me.
"I hope you feel a lot better Amber..."
He put the chicken noodle soup in my favourite bowl.
"Thanks Mike."
Kimberly was like my nurse and she always kept her eye on me. She painted my nails, she did my hair, she read me books. She did everything for me.

It took me a couple of days to get better! Once I did I went to my parents house to see what they would say to me!
It was 2 days before the wedding.
I walked over to there hotel. As soon as I opened the door I knew something was wrong. My parents weren't there anymore! I felt lost. I felt worried. No one was there! I called my dads cell on my phone.
"Daddy! Where are you?"
"Now you answer! What a disappointment! I am with Enzo's parents. they let us stay at there house. Why don't you come over honey. I have to talk to you."
"Where is it daddy?"
He told me the address. I brought Cameron with me.
We took a taxi there.
Once we arrived I told Cameron that my parents aren't the best. I told that Enzo is my future brother in law.
"Amber relax. I love you. I was wondering if you wanted to go out for breakfast tomorrow?"
I was thrilled that he asked me!
"Of course! I would love to!"
We held each other's hands and walked in the house together. He gave a good luck kiss.
"Amber!"
My mom screamed with joy! I was confused.
"Hello, this is Cameron my boyfriend."
My mom came and hugged me and I hugged Cameron. I could tell she was acting. My dad came up and said hello to me and completely ignored Cameron. I whispered in Cameron's ear.
"I am so sorry."
Enzo's mom gave us both kisses and Enzo's dad shook our hands.
Cameron and I has a seat and were texting each other funny things about Enzo's mother. She was wearing too much blush and it made her look like a clown.

After we went outside and played with Enzo's old frisbee.
"I am sorry about my dad."
"Don't worry."
"So where are we going for breakfast?"
"You'll see tomorrow morning! It's a long drive but don't worry I will entertain you!"
I started laughing.
We ate dinner there and then we left. We went to his hotel. We watched a scary movie and he finally returned my bracelets. He screamed so loud that he dropped the popcorn! When he was scared he hid his face in my chest. I am sure it wasn't on purpose. And when I was scared I screamed and put my legs around his. We laughed so hard. It was fun being with him.
We both fell asleep at his hotel.

When we woke up it was 9:48 a.m.. It was our second date and you know what that meant.

As soon as I got out of bed I took a shower first. I washed my hair and I got my clothes. This time I brought an extra pair. I wore a skater skirt and a crop top and my hair down. I let the curls flow.
Then he took a shower and saw his shadow of his body threw the door. I couldn't wait to touch it. ;)
"Amber can you pass me a towel?¿"
"Sure thing!"
I opened the bathroom door and he looked at me and laughed.
"We got to stop meeting like this."
He started to laugh.
"I can't wait to take you out for breakfast!"

Once we got ready we headed out for breakfast. The taxi drove us. It took us 1 hour to get there. As soon as we got out of the car... We arrived a cute little bakery.
"I hope you like it!"
He held my hand.
This woman with brown wavy hair turned around.
"Cameron!"
"Mom!"
"Mom?¿"
