Just Another Day...

Chapter 3

As soon as I opened the door to my room my parents were at the table probably waiting to give me a lecture on what an embarrassment I am to the family.

"Amber Skye Leaves get over here now!"
My father didn't sound too happy. I sat beside him.
"How dare you speak to your mother like that! You are disgrace to our family! Everyone flew out here for your sister not for Kimberly! I know I promised you that you would see her but right now I am not too sure on how I feel about that!"
I couldn't take it anymore! I had to say something! I was tired, grumpy, nervous and sick! I didn't know what to say! So I blurred it out!
"If you look for that in a daughter then I am glad you have Ashley and not me! Oh and don't forget about Pauline like I did for these last years!"
I got up and left the room and headed to bed!
I was tired and it was a long day! I was glad to go to bed.

It was a beautiful Sunday morning! The sky was blue and I didn't see a single drop of rain! Today was my very first date, my shopping date with Kimberly and tomorrow I am going out for breakfast with my sister who I didn't even know existed and my best friend! It's a lot to take. I got up and grabbed my clothes! I picked out my white jean shorts and my blue and pink striped t-shirt. I put my hair in a ponytail and washed my face and brushed my teeth! After all that I put my make up on and headed out my room to go make myself breakfast. No one was up yet because it's only 7:10 a.m..
I made my self waffles and grabbed my purse and wrote my parents a note that I will be back and headed out the door.

"Good morning Bill!"
Bill was the front desk manager and him and my dad were friends.
"Good morning Ashley! What are you doing up so early?"
I can't believe he just called me Ashley! Oh well at least it wasn't Pauline.
"Oh Bill my name is Amber and I am going on a morning stroll."
"I am sorry for calling you Ashley. Have a beautiful morning stroll."
I smiled and went outside and walked around! There were so many places to go and I didn't where to go first!
I sat on a bench to just chill and go on my phone for a little bit and I saw I got a missed call from Kimberly! I called her. I started playing with my bracelets because I was nervous for what she was going to say.
"Hey Kimberly what's wrong?!"
"I was wondering if you wanted to eat lunch at my place? My dad is home and he really wants to see you!"
"Okay I will be there in 1 hour! Bye Kimberly."
I headed back to my hotel to go see my parents and stuff. As soon as I got in there I couldn't find my parents. But then I started check everyone to see if they were in there. I opened my room, the living room, kitchen, bathroom but finally I checked their room! My parents were making out! It was disgusting thank god they had clothes on if not I would've been sick to my stomach.
"Amber what are you doing here?!"
I smelt alcohol it was coming from her! I was discussed! She came to me in her bra and hugged me...
"Honey, I am sorry about Pauline! I should've kept her and gave you away. I guess everyone makes mistakes!" She slapped me in the face.
I felt unwanted and got my bags and left. I was sick and tired of my parents! I told them I would be at Kimberly's and I will be there at the wedding with my date and friends! My dad tried to chase me in his boxers in the hallway! He knew I was crying.
"Dad, I will be fine." He started to say that I was his favourite but I ignored him.
I walked over to Kimberly's apartment.
"Hey Kimberly I came here early because o have family problems! Is it okay if I stay here while I am in New York?"
She saw that I was crying and comforted me and let me stay!
"Hello Mike!"
I hugged him and I told him about my sister. He was shocked! He gave me hug and made Kimberly and I salmon. Kimberly is a vegetarian. She used to eat meat when she was younger but once she knew it was an animal she never did anymore. She loves fish! Once we finished our fish we went shopping! We were wanted to go to American Eagle, Abercrombie, Forever 21 again and plenty more.
"Bye daddy! I love you!"
"Goodbye Mike have a nice day!"
As soon as we opened the door we ran into Kimberly's step-mom and step-brothers.
I introduced myself. She hugged me.
"This is little Kyle he's 6 and this is Kolan, he's 11."
I hugged both of them. They looked a little like Kimberly. Especially Kolan.
We headed out and shopped until we literally  dropped... I fell down the stairs with all the bags I had and Kimberly dropped all her bags while walking from store to store! We caught up on a lot of things. Once we finished we headed back to Kimberly's apartment and she helped me pick my clothes for my date. She handed me the first dress we bought at Forever 21. It was red with lace around the top it. It was spaghetti straps and had a little poof at the bottom.
"I think this will be for your second date when you guys might you know..."
We started laughing! The next dress was from Abercrombie. It was navy blue with white jewels on the top part and had white lace at the bottom.
"Amber! This is the one!"
She curled my hair and did my makeup over again. She lent me her hoop earrings and I wore my navy wedges. I looked in the mirror and I looked like a whole new me!
I got a phone call from him! I answered.
"Are we still on for tonight Amber?¿"
"Yes but can you pick me up at Kimberly's?"
I could tell he felt relieved that I said yes.
"I love you Amber. I will see you then!"
He hung up. I was so happy!

30 minutes later...

He came to Kimberly's apartment.
"Hey Amber!"
He handed me one red rose. I hugged him and smelt him and he had the best cologne in the whole world! It was minty. Mike came and embarrassed me in front of him.
"You know this girl once peed in my flowers when she was 4. I'd watch out if I were you."
Cameron started to laugh.
They shook hands and I gave Kimberly a hug and headed out with Cameron.
"How was your day Cameron?!"
"Better that's your in it!"
I started to laugh!
"Have you ever been on a fairy boat before?"
I didn't know what to say. If I say yes then it would look like that he would have to try harder but if I said no I would look dumb. I just told him the truth.
"No I have never been on one before!"
He quickly responded.
"Then I guess we will both be clueless!"
He laughed and he held my hand.
"You look beautiful tonight Amber and I know things are tough for you and I know I already told you that I want to be there with you every step of the way and I love you!"
I blushed. As soon as I started to reply I burped! I couldn't believe I actually burped! What the heck?¿  He laughed and said its fine.
"Sorry about that! Thank you Cameron I don't know what I would do without you. You are super nice and funny and I know I can't count on you. I love you too."
Once we got there we headed on deck and we saw everything! It was beautiful at night.
Until something wasn't so pretty.
"Hey Cameron."
"What are you doing here Helen?! We broke up remember?!"
Cameron didn't look too happy! I wasn't happy at all. This night was perfect until that slut came along!
"No one breaks up with me unless I say so."
She whipped her hair.
"Well I did and that's final! How do you think I felt seeing you making out with another guy!"
"Hmmmm first of all we were just kissing and yeah!"
"I am currently with someone who I know would never leave me! Oh yeah you guys were just kissing... with no clothes... no sounds... no balloon like things that go in a hole!"
Helen looked at Cameron then me.
"Honey, is that who your with?!"
She came up to me.
"You're just a replacement and you try to be like Cameron and I. Those aren't your shoes! You probably stole them because you're too poor! My daddy is a lawyer and he can kill you!"
I whipped my curly hair in her face so she could taste it!
"I don't try to be like you! Who would want to be like you? I am happy with Cameron. He's mine and honey learn your jobs lawyers don't kill people!"
She quickly replied and flipped her straight blonde hair in my face.
"Actually my mom can she's a police officer! Honey in 10 days Cameron is going to come back to me!"
Cameron put his arm around me.
"Actually Helen I won't! So leave now!"
She left. I was grateful for Cameron! He hugged me.
"Let's go look at the fireworks."
I say on the rail and he held me. He told me about his parents what they did. His mom was a baker and had her own bakery and his dad was a construction man. I told him about my mom and dad. My mom worked at the bank and my dad was a car dealer.
Right when things were getting better. Helen came back and pushed me in the water! Cameron jumped in with life jackets and no one knew except us three.

I felt lost I didn't know where I was!
"Amber! You scared me I thought you drowned! You were breathing but I was still worried!"
"Where are we?!"
"My hotel I hope you don't mind."
"Do you smell something?"
He laughed and said that it was me.
"Can I use your shower?"
He laughed and said yes.

When I was done I couldn't find a towel so I asked him where it was? I opened the door a little slipped and banged my head on the door. Man I was clumsy... He ran in and wrapped me up in a towel.
"I am sorry about tonight."
He kissed me and laid me down on his bed in his towel. He laid beside me and gave me one kiss on the lips.
