{Tyler POV}

Right now I'm in the hall of block3 trying to text Devin to get his attention. This is like the 4th time this week I've been late to this class, and I know he's not going to put up with it again this time.

Me - Aye fool

Bro - What?

Me - Open the door

Bro- Nah man you almost got me caught last time you on yo own.

Me - Quit playing just get a tissue and twist the knob in the process

Bro - man hold on

As Devin came up and opened the door I slid in and sat in the back of the class next to Karl and Devin

"Nice of you to join us Mr.Ulis" Professor Herpich said not even looking at me

That whole 45 mins I just copied Devin notes and kept quiet. The bell finally rung and since this was our only class of the day the 3 of us just headed to practice.

"So why were you late today" Devin asked with a clenched jaw

"Man see Kiki and I were up all night watching Baby boy, and I lost track of time and end up over sleeping at her and Kay dorm" I said walking into the gym

" You know he going tell coach right" Karl said as we walked into the locker room

"Yeah, and that just might mean you wont be in next game" Devin said slamming his bag down

"Bro chill that aint going happen" I said reassuring him

"ULIS MY OFFICE NOW" we heard coach come on the intercom

"Oh shit what you do short stuff " Willie said walking past me putting on his practice jersey

I shrugged and walked down the hall to Coach's office

"You wanted to see me coach?" I asked walking in

"What the hell Tyler, do you not want to play in games? Do you like keeping the sideline chairs warm?" he asked sitting on the edge of the bed

"Yes sir I do want to play" I said calmly looking him in his eyes

"Well tell me this son..... WHY THE HELL ARE YOU LATE TO CLASS EVERDAY!!!!" he yelled causing me to jump a little in shock

"Sir it's just I'm over sleeping" I said

"Why are you over sleeping you shouldn't be attending parties unless its break week or I have cleared it as Ok" he said crossing his arms

"I just need to spend time with my girlfriend" I say getting irritated

"Yeah that's all nice and all but Tyler if you aren't passing and showing up to class you cant play" coach said taking a deep breath

"I know but that's my girl " I said looking down at my hands

"You need to learn to balance the three  out Tyler" he said putting his hand on my shoulder

"I will sir" I said looking up

" I know cause you're on curfew" he said walking out

"Woah, wait what? Coach are you serious?" I asked walking out behind him
