Devin's P.O.V
{As I'm sitting in the Gym with my queen on my lap 😊 I notice Trey mugging me hard. So as a gentleman I brush it off. Cause haters going hate, but when Kaylnn noticed I felt as if I had to do something.}
"Babe. Is it just me or is Trey staring a hole in your face?" Kaylnn said to me in a whisper.
"Yeah I see him too ,but whatever" I said calmly
:She twisted around to look me in my face:
"He still mad about that?" She asked me referring to the last game of the season.
/FLASHBACK/
{See what happened was it's the last 28seconds of the game and I had the ball ,we were only down by one point. D'Angelo was blocked cause they knew of the damage he could do. (Yeah my boy is a dog on the court) So I'm looking trying to make a quick move in 14 seconds , I hear Trey yelling "PASS!!" But it was a 6'4 dude right there on him. Me being the smart one I took one up for the team and threw a 3. After I released the ball I closed my eyes and all I heard was cheers and D'Angelo came up and tackled me. I made it we are now Division 1 State Champions, the tears of joy rushed down our faces as we all hugged and cheered each other. In the corner of my eye I see Trey walk up and tackle me down ,me thinking it's good I hug him. Then a sharp pain hit my jaw. Dude punched me. All because he wanted to impress his father that didn't give a care about him or this game. That night was supposed to be the best night of our lives but he ruined that. }
/FLASHBACK OVER/
"It's all good babe don't even sweat it , we can leave if you want to" Kaylnn said to me rubbing my cheeks
"Yeah let's go I want some food though" I said walking out of the gym doors holding Kaylnn's hand
"Ooooo can we get Starbucks too?" Kaylnn asked jumping up and down
"Yeah ,but don't go white girl on me baby. Lol " I joked opening the car door for her.
"Ugh ,excuse me but Starbucks isn't only for white girls sir" She told me while buckling her seat belt
" Ok Kaylnn , but I was joking " I reassured her as I pulled out the school's parking lot .

¡!STARBUCKS¡! <Kaylnn's POV
"Hi welcome to Starbucks what can I get you ?" The lady with the name tag Taylor asked
"Yeah can I have a large caramel mocha latte, and 3 chocolate chip cookies" I told the girl behind the counter
"Is that all?" Taylor asked
"Want anything Dev ? " I asked getting Devin's attention as he was zoned into the tv mounted on the wall
"Nah I'm good but I'll pay" he said pulling out his wallet ☺️ He's such a gentleman
"DEVIN DEVIN BOOKER" Taylor said a little too excited for me
"Tay Tay ?" Devin replied with a confused look
"Omg I haven't seen you in forever, how are you " Taylor said coming from behind the counter to HUG Devin
"I know right and I'm good ,how are you shorty" Devin said to her still hugging her
"Lol shut up I'll grow, but I'm good Devvy " Wait did she say 'Devvy' only I call him that 😔
"KAYLNN" another Starbucks worker said handing me my drink and cookies "$5.79" she also said
Devin looked too busy so I paid for myself and just walked to the car, Thank God it was unlocked.
15 minutes later I'm finished with both cookies and my drink is cold and half way gone.
"My bad Kay I lost track of time, wait did we pay" he asked getting into the car all smiley 😒
"Yep" I bluntly replied looking out the window with my earbuds in.
The whole ride I just listened to my music and looked out the window.
>Devin's POV<
"What's wrong?" I asked Kaylnn
"Kaylnnnn!!!!??" After calling her name for 2 minutes ,I noticed her earbuds in her ear so I pulled them out
"What was that for !!?" She semi yelled at me
"I've been calling your name and you couldn't hear me" I replied looking at her as I stopped at the red light
"Well what is it that you want?" She asked with a bad tude
"What's wrong with you dude ?" I asked getting annoyed
"Nothing ,I'm fine" she quietly replied not looking at me
"Kaylnn Marie James don't lie to me like that" I said in a very serious tone pulling in my driveway
"I'm fine 'Devvy' " she said with quotation marks on that Devvy part and walking into my house.
"Now I see what this is about"😳 I said to myself walking up to my room behind her.
She was just sitting on my bed scrolling through twitter so I laid next to her
"Taylor was like my best friend in 4th grade, her mom and my mom were good friends in high-school." I started telling her. "She got sexually abused as a child by her moms husband, and started harming herself. When her mom found out she stabbed her husband and called the police , then hung her self. All because she felt bad because she wasn't there for Tay. Once Tay's mom died she had to move to Colorado with her Granny. I haven't seen her since and I'm sorry I never told you about her." I said to her
"Well that made me feel bad" she said now sitting criss-cross
" It's coo I should've paused to at least introduce you, so I also was in the wrong" I tell her
"It just made me sad when she called you 'Devvy' ,but you said I'm the only person that called you that" she said putting her head down as I put her in my lap
"I'm so sorry I honestly forgot she called me that Kay" I said to her kissing her cheek
"It's good ,I just really got jealous" she admitted 😉
"Lol really Kaylnn, that wasn't necessary ,you know you bae " 😘 I told her
" Yeah I know but I really need a nap before we go" she said laying on my chest.
"Alright well I'll go pick up the Chinese, Love you 😘" I said kissing her cheek and heading towards the door.
"Love you too.." She replied half way sleep
