For eons, the galaxy has lived in fear of the plague that is ravaging mankind without hope of survival. Then, with the alliance of an alien race, the Glacíens, and the scientific and biological enhancements they offered, Humans believed a cure was within reach. But over 75,000 years following the Alliance, the plague remains and grows ever more deadly.
Illness is not the only dangerous force in the galaxy however, a reality that Malak is all too aware of despite the lost memories of his past. He has been serving as a hired mercenary for several years and remaining under the radar of the Eight Systems' Coalition, who he fears may know more about himself than even he does. After all, a man with a date tattooed on his wrist, abilities that should not be present in the absence of cybernetics, and no memory of his prior life would surely be of some interest to the ESC's scientists, and he has no intention of landing himself in one of their labs.
