Eryx is known as a very cold and merciless king who could kill you in an instant without feeling any remorse or guilt at all. He's feared for this merciless side and this dark aura that was all around him. If you read about him in some old books, they would tell you that he was a kind king with a big heart who would save his people no matter what. He always put his kingdom first, and they all loved him and his queen. He changed drastically as she died... he got a lot more overprotective over his son, and his trust in others simply disappeared. He builded a wall around his heart, not daring to let anyone past it or trying to lower those walls. Sometimes he likes to be alone even tho it wouldn't be good for him. He's proud and a strong being, even if his mental health wasn't as steady as he said and showed it was. Eryx was just a broken soul who's yearning for love but despise himself for this weakness. Some would say he's a little too proud, and it's followed with a strong stubbornness where it's difficult to argue with him whenever he thinks he's right. No, he wouldn't listen and says stuff before thinking it through. You could say he's more of a pessimist even if he said he's a realist because obviously he's not. Deep down, the King has a soft spot for his family and loved ones, and he would protect them with his life. He would die for the love of his life and protect them until that moment.
