Chapter 29*Percy

The answer to the QOTC was a candy store.

I woke up the next day feeling refreshed, I had a dreamless sleep and finally slept a whole eight hours.

Then realization slapped me across the face.

The war was today.

I groaned and sat up, strapping on all my gear and armour and normal clothes on top. We weren't exactly sure when the battle would take place so we had to be ready at all times.

'Okay Tartarus, you better not stab us in the back today.' I thought knowing he could hear me.

'I can't even if I wanted to, I swore on the river styx too, it may not kill me but it would take a few centuries to reform.' Tartarus told me in my head.

'Good, I hope it would be painful too.' I add smiling.

'How would you feel to be in a giant wart with a consious and no body to go along with it. Not exactly painful, but not comftorable either.' Tartarus hissed.

I laughed and walked out of my cabin to find everyone gathered around the campfire, without it lit. Clarrise was standing in the middle with Grace and Annabeth who were discussing the battle plans.

I slipped in next to Leo in the back and noticed how calm the little latino was being. The whole camp was silent and still waiting to hear all of the plan, but also alert in case of any attack.

"This is way to eerie," I told Leo," we're all on edge because if this war and we're sitting here like ducks."

"I don't like it either, I feel like something bad is going to happen." Leo told me nodding.

"With our luck it will." I grimley said.

"Don't jinx it you idiots." Jason whispered in front of us," with our luck you just did."

"No we didn't" Leo and I said at the same time.

"Jinx."

"Double jinx."

"Be quiet." Karie scolded from in front of Jason.

Leo and I chuckled together, but eventually shut up and listened to the girls drone on about battle plans.

"And that concludes our battle plans-" Annabeth said before getting interrupted.

"And I hope you pug faces heard it because we're not repeating or answering questions." Clarrise told us.

Everyone nodded quickly and Clarrise nodded with a smirk. "Go patrol the borders those who were assigned it. Flying people in the air."

Everyone scampered off to get to their spots and I walked over to Annabeth. She smiled at me as I pulled her into my chest. "Why the show of affection?"

"I'm worried the Gods will take you back, but I need you to stay here. With me." I lied, knowing I wouldn't be here afterwards.

"I'll have to go back Percy, Zeus would never let me stay." she frowned.

"And that's why I'm holding you." I smiled.

Annabeth giggled and leaned back into my chest. It was just her and me in the center of camp.

And I wouldn't have it any other way.

TIME SKIP

I sat beside Annabeth on a picnic blanket with Silena and Beckendorf across from us.

"Isn't this fun Charlie, double dating is so cute!" Silena squealed.

"As long as I'm with you." Beckendorf smiled.

"Why can't you be like that." Annabeth said slapping me across the shoulder," actually don't, I fell in love with the Seaweed Brain."

I grinned and fed Annabeth a strawberry.

"This is a great last date." I smiled at her.

"You totally ruined the mood." Annabeth frowned.

"But what-" I got cut off by a horn being blown three times like we told them to blow it.

I looked around and everyone nodded getting up and drawing our weapons. We stripped down to our armour under our sweat pants and hoodies.

We ran to the sight of the battle to find it was where Tartarus told us it would be. We set into our formation and waited for anything to happen.

Oceanus and Loki flashed in behind their army and Tartarus flashed beside me.

"You joined the wrong side." Oceanus growled to Tartarus.

"I joined the right side." Tartarus said," and when we defeat you you'll see it."

Oceanus and Tartarus had a glare off before Oceanus bellowed,"charge!"

The monsters all charged and so did the campers. The monsters definently had numbers on their side, but the campers had more skill.

I was approached by a few monsters, but with Tartarus by my side they rarely attacked. I had a routine of slash, duck, chop, repeat where as Tartarus blasted them with darkness or something.

I saw the Avengers fighting their way to Loki and Annabeth back to back with Piper in the mob of monsters. I could see Jason flying anove and helping where it was needed.

"You told Annabeth to stay away from Oceanus right?" Tartarus asked.

"Yes I've been telling her it for the whole week and Piper will help make sure she stays away." I told him.

He nodded and continued to fight towards Oceanus.

We arrived there unscathed and Oceanus sighed," monsters do absolutley nothing, do they?"

He flicked his wrist and a stream of water flew towards us. I deflected it with difficulty and Tartarus deflected it easily. He shot a beam of dark at Oceanus.

Oceanus dodged the attack and drew his spear. He rushed at me and I had barely enough time to draw riptide before he slashed at me.

I rolled under his attack and parried his next attack. I thought about Luke's teachings from when I was twelve and smiled.

'Duck, slash, his weak spot is his shoulder aim for it.' I heard Luke's voice in my head.

I smiled at the thought of Luke from when we were kids. I took a brief moment to see Luke fighting with Ethan against hellhounds.

"Let's do this Oceanus." I said with a determined voice.

Oceanus smirked and came running after me. We partied for a few minute with no clear victor until I saw an opening in his shoulder. I struck at his shoulder with all my might and he bellowed in pain.

"It's over Oceanus." I said gesturing to the last two monsters and Loki on the ground.

"You win this one demigod, but next time yo-" Tartarus shot him with a beam mid sentence and he burst into golden dust.

I looked at Tartarus in shock and he shrugged.

"He talks to much."

Annabeth ran over and I spun her around. "We won Wise Girl."

She smiled and leaned into my chest and I sat there enjoying her warmth. It was amazing having her near me.

But it could never last.

Sorry I dodn't update, I just wasn't feeling inspired and it's been pretty hectic these last few weeks. Sorry I'm bad at wroting battle scenes so sorry about that. This book is nearly over and I'm thinking of making a sequel, should I?

QOTC: Who died in the Titan war by sword ricocheting through their armour to their stomach.
