Chapter 9*Steve

I watched the kids face when Fury said his idea. His mouth formed an 'O' and his eyebrows shot up his head.

"You want me to join your team of men and woman prancing around in leotards?" he asked.

"The Avengers, and yes. From what you told us you would be a valuable asset to this team." Fury explained.

"Sure, why not?" Percy answered.

"Go back home to your parents now, but meet me back here exactly seven in the morning." Fury told him.

"I'm not a morning person," Percy told Fury.

"Fine ten, but no later."

He smirked and left the room and I quickly ran agter him. I wanted to protect him for some reason and decided I would walk him home.

"You still want some food?" I asked.

"No, I'll get my mom to make me something." he told me.

I shrugged and looked at him," you ready to go?"

"I don't need an escort." he glared at me.

"I know you don't, but it's called being a good citizen." I smiled.

He shrugged and led the way out the building. I followed him through the city to the Upper East side of Manhattan. He made a sharp turn onto a street with apartments lining the road.

"Somethings not right." Percy muttered, barely audible.

Percy scanned the street before turning down an alley way. He took a pen out of his pocket and started twirling it in his hands.

"What's going on?" I asked him.

"Not sure, but somethings wrong." he told me.

I followed him deeper into the alley way until He stopped suddenly as if there was a wall.

"Somethings here," he muttered.

I looked around trying to fimd something when I saw a guy dressed in green and gold robes with horns on his head. I tapped Percy's shoulders and signalled up to him.

"That's Loki, Thor's adopted brother. God of Mischief and lies." Steve explained.

"He's not Greek. What is he?" he asked me.

"Norse, what do you mean 'not Greek?'" I looked at him confused.

He shook it off and looked at the figure aproaching Loki. I saw his face pale and looked back to get a better look.

(A/N completely making this up, bear with me.)

He had this blue tinged skin, you wouldn't notice it if you weren't looking for it, he had blue-green eyes that looked like the sea and long dark black hair. His eyes held an evil look and his mouth was pulled up in an evil smirk.

The next guy made Percy pale further amd I could see him trembling.

He had pale white skin, black hair with red streaks, all black eyes with red pupils and had this terrible aura around him, I could tell he was terribly powerful.

"Who are those people?" I asked Percy.

"The blue guy is the titan Oceanus and the guy with black hair is the primordial Tartarus." Percy explained.

"Greeks," I mumbled finally understanding what Percy meant.

He was like Thor in a way, I had read a few stories about the Greeks and read that they sired with humans and created demigods. I thought that Percy was probably a Greek demigod, Sally was his actual mom and Paul was his stepdad. He was probably a demigod and from how powerful his aura was a son of one of the big three. After the display in the park when he vanished and lect the scent of ocean I would guess a son of Poseidon.

"You're a demigod son of Poseidon, aren't you?" I asked him.

He nodded," you can't tell anyone. I'm not even going to ask how you know, but you have to swear on the river Styx you won't tell anyone what I am until I say you can."

"Why the river Styx." I asked confused.

"If you break the oath your body will burn into ashes and you die." he said bluntley.

"Oh."

"Ya."

I took a deep breathe," I swear on the river Styx that I will not reveal what you are until you say I can."

Thunder rumbled in the distance and I looked at Percy startled.

"It means the deal is sealed," he explained." but right now."

I looked back at the roof to see the Godly forces were gone.

I whipped around feeling a prescense behind me and there stood our Godly friends.

"Hello Perseus." Tartarus said," let's play a game."
