Here is the completly re-written That One Day. The original was so cringe-tastic, I really put a lot of work into this. (If you want a movie esc. moment, go ahead and listen to One Direction's "Ready To Run." whenever you see ********. It's really cool. Trust me.) Thank you to those who read this, and I hope you like my short story, Ready To Run. -lovelywho

DIANA'S P.O.V.

One Direction were going to be in concert. That was the main reason.  I had somehow gotten tickets, and was not going to pass up an opportunity like this. So I decided to bring my friend Kierstyn along, because she was one of my only friends that was still a hard core directioner like me. "Come on! The cab is already here!" I yelled to her as I dragged my suitcase down the driveway to the trunk of the car.

"Hold on, I'm coming!" she frowned as she locked her door, and hid the key up in the door frame. I scanned the car as I waited, and noticed it didn't look like a normal cab, but I just figured it was because it was a Chicago cab.

When Kierstyn finally got situated with her luggage in the trunk, she climbed in next to me. "Grand Nature Hotel, 635 West 53rd Avenue." I spoke to the driver, as she put the coordinates into her GPS. She nodded and slowly pulled out of my driveway, and we started our four hour trip to the Windy City.

It had been three hours, and we were almost there. Kierstyn was on her phone, texting someone quickly. Her headphones were in, and she nodded her head along to the beat. I could faintly hear Fall Out Boy playing, as she was returning Snapchats like crazy. I looked out my window, and listened to my Spotify playlist I had created full of the setlist songs for the concert. I then felt my phone buzz, and I looked down to see it was a text from Kierstyn. I furrowed my eyebrows, and looked over to her with a confused face. She nodded at my phone, as I opened my messages. The text read: "Are we going the right way? I think we just missed the exit." I looked up and behind me to see that we had indeed missed the exit. I took out one of my headphones and leaned forward to the driver. "Excuse me, I don't want to sound rude or anything, but I think we just missed the turn. The Chicago exit is back that way." I spoke. She didn't reply. "Excuse me." I said louder, tapping her on the shoulder. Again no answer. She just stared at the road in front of us, and said nothing.
