That One Day

Chapter 11

Chapter 11:

"I'm so sorry" they said.

"He was a good friend" they said.

"He'd be happy you were here" they said.

"The doctors couldn't have brought him out of shock, with out him being mentally injured" they said.

But no. They didn't know what had happened. What really happened. The doctors only told me, Maddy, Hayley, and all the boys. We were the only ones that really knew. The truth is, he overdosed. I guess he didn't want to live with the memories of what we had gone thru. Everyday, since the funeral. I have thought 'I could have done something. I could have saved him, if only I had gone back home right away'. But the thing is, I couldn't do anything. That was his choice, and... Well....

So where were we? Oh yes, the funeral:

I was standing in the mirror, putting on my silver hoop earrings to match my silver charm bracelet Niall had given me. I was in a sleek, strapless black dress. Nothing elaborate, just something plain. My hair was curled, and all I had on for make up was just some black eyeliner and mascara. Then, some light pink lip gloss to finish it off. I was just about to go grab my purse to leave, when I heard a knock at my door. It was Niall.

"Hey" I said, as I opened the door.

"Hi" he replied. "You look nice".

"Thanks" I smiled. Leave it to Niall to make you feel better when your down. "Come on in." I say.

Before I knew what was going on, Niall was giving me the biggest hug ever. "I know, I miss him too." He whispered into my ear. That's when the waterfalls came. I couldn't control it anymore, and I just started crying into is shoulder, never wanting to let go. Good thing I was wearing water proof makeup, or I would have been a mess. After it seemed like forever, I pulled away, looking into his eyes. "It will be alright." He said. "I mean, we've got each other right." He added, which made me smile.

"Right. Let me get cleaned up then we can head on over to the funeral." I managed to choke out.

*AFewMonthsLater* (it's the present now)

"No, Team Peeta!" I say to Maddy.

"Um, no, Team Gale all the way!!!" She yells.

"I'm with Ari, Team Peeta!" Hayley says.

"I'm with Maddy, Team GALE!!!!!" Madi says. ( A/N: I'm friends with 2 Madelyn's so pay attention to the spellings! :)

"Team Jacob!" Kristin yells, while walking into the room with a bowl of popcorn. We all laugh, as Kristin grabs the remote, and presses play on the DVD player.

It's July 2nd, more than 2 months after Emilio's death, and I'm just now having my birthday party. We are all in my tiny room, getting ready to watch 'The Woman In Black' and I'm freaking out! Yes, I love scary movies, but this one is extremely scary!! I've only seen it one other time and that was like forever ago. I can't even remember what it's about! But ya know, Daniel Radcliffe is in it, so it isn't a bad movie :)

In no time at all, I'm screaming along with Maddy. I know for a fact she hates scary movies, but I told her this one was a romantic comedy... And she believed me!

"Don't go in there, no, don't- to late!" Hayley yells at the screen.

"Ahhhhh" Maddy screams. Just then, I get a text message. It says:

From: Niall

Hey can I come over, it's really important.

I quickly text back: Ya sure.

I wonder what the news is. It must be important if he actually has to come over to my house...
