That One Day

Chapter 6

No one moved. We were all too scared to say or do anything. "Now which one is first?" the girl said.

Again, no one did anything. "How about you?" she said reaching for my collar. She pulled me up and brought the gun to my head. "Say goodbye to your friends" she muttered slowly. All of the sudden, before she could pull the trigger, Riley and Jake came running up behind her, tackling her. She dropped the gun and fell to the floor, cursing loudly at the boys.

"Run!", Jake yelled, and we didn't hesitate. The door was still wide open. Everyone ran through, and Niall grabbed my hand to pull me through the door, when I looked back at the boys. The girl was holding Jake with his hands behind his back, but Riley was no where in sight. The man took a gun out of his pocket and raised it in Jake's face.

"Let's get this done with" he mumbled.

"NO!!!" i screamed. I tried to run, but Niall held me back. The man was just about to pull the trigger when BANG, he fell to the floor in front of them. I looked over and there was Riley, holding up the gun the woman dropped. I ran up and kicked the woman in the face, which made her loose her grip on Jake's arms. He stood up, and I grabbed his hand, and we ran toward the door. All of the sudden, the girl had stood up, and had another tight grip on Jake. Riley still had the gun so he pointed it at the girl and shot again. But she was moving so much, he only got her in the arm.

"OUCH!!!" she yelled with pain, and again, let go of Jake. Riley held onto the gun as we started to run up the stairs. I couldn't believe it, we were actually escaping!!!! But we didn't get very far. There, standing at the top of the stairs, were the two twins...

Thirdly, I'm sorry this chapter is kinda short, but 1.) a lot of people (*cough* Maddy S, Hayley, Jake, Madi H *cough*) were practically begging me to update and 2.) I thought this was a good spot to leave a cliffhanger ;)
