That One Day

Chapter 2

Chapter 2:

It had been three hours, almost there. Maddy was texting, well, Hayley; who was only 4 seats away... Jake and Riley were talking about video games, or something, and Emilio was asleep. While I was simply watching music videos on YouTube. Things seemed all fine and dandy, until I heard a loud pop, and a screeching sound, as our bus finally came to a slow stop on the side of the road. "What was that?" Emilio asked, as he was just starting to wake up.

Almost immediately, the bus driver stood up, and said,"We seem to have a flat tire. Please stay seated. It shouldn't take too long. If you do need to get up and out of the bus, stay close to the bus at all times. We are in a particularly 'difficult' area of the outskirts of Chicago. Thank you. That is all." he then got up and left to go fix the tire.

"I gotta stretch." Jake said.

"Me too," Hayley and Emilio said almost simultaneously. Eventually Maddy and Riley got up too. I stayed for about 5 minuets, until I finally decided to go too. Just something about that area seemed almost creepy to me. We stood outside together until I saw 3 men and a woman come out from the bushes. Since the bus driver was on the other side, he couldn't tell what was going on. I turned to tell my friends to get on the bus, but it was too late. Maddy and Jake were grabbed by one of the guys. He was bigger, with broader shoulders. His face was long and had scars tearing across his face. He took two pieces of cloth, and pressed them against their noses and mouths. Chloroform, I noticed right away. The two other guys, who looked like twins, identical twins, took Hayley, Emilio, and Riley. They did the same thing, with the cloths over their mouths, which made them sink to the ground unconscious. I could almost pin-point the second they lost consciousness. Their eyes full of fear, slowly rolled to the back of their heads. I was too scared to say or do anything. It seemed like I had been standing there forever, until someone grabbed my hair to pull my head back, and put the cloth over my mouth, when darkness soon engulfed me...
