Chapter 2

~Riley's POV~

"Do one of you care to explain what happened in the cafe?" Mr.Parkin's asked. And everyone started talking all at once
"She hogged-".

"He took my-".

"She went psycho.".

"I laughed.".

"I got kicked in the-".

"ENOUGH!" Mr.Parkin's yelled making everyone shut up.

"Riley you are one of the most trusting students in this school. Would you please explain what happened." The principle asked. I nodded while trying not to grin.

"Well sir, Elliette had possession of the buffet like she always does when she gets to the cafe. Maya and I, we sat down and saw James walking to the buffet and we tried to warn him but he didn't listen-"

"Ohhh wrong move kid." Mr.Parkin's said making me grin.

"Elliette gave him a warning as well which is really rare for her to do but James still took food from the buffet. A slice of pizza to be exact. Maya and I tried to calm her down but we couldn't and she jumped him. Then Jaxon and Jace came and Jace tried to get her off but she kicked him in his um, you know area." I said blushing.

"Then Maya took the pizza from James and Elliette finally got off and then you arrived." I finished explaining. Mr.Parkin's sighed.

"Well I really hate to have to do this with it being the first day back but you guys were all involved in this bad behavior so You all get detention after school for the next 2 days." Mr.Parkin's said and I shot up out of my chair shocked.

"But I-" I started but was cut off.

"Dismissed." The principle said firmly leaving no room for arguments. I stood there in shock until someone grabbed my hand and pulled me out into the hall gently.

"Riley are you okay?" It was Jace, of course.

"I-I had nothing to do with what happened." I said still shocked.

"All I did was warn James and get you ice when El kicked you in your um-".

"Balls." Jace finished grinning. Oh my god he has dimples. I felt my cheeks heat up.

"Riley I think that's why the principle gave you detention. You didn't try to help with the bigger issue at hand." Jace explained.

"Oh." I said.

"Well I gotta get to last block." Jace said.

"Thanks for the ice." Jace said and handed me a bag of ice.

"Is this-".

"Yep." Jace said and walked away.

"EW!" I squealed. I threw the ice on the ground.

"GROSS! IT WAS IN HIS PANTS!" I screamed. I ran to the bathroom and washed my hands multiple times.

Detention

I walked into detention with Maya and Elliette. Jace, James, and Jaxon were already there. I left Maya and El and walked over to Jace.
"Jace." I said. Jace looked up at me.

"I just wanna say I didn't appreciate you putting the ice that was in your pants in my hand." I said. Jace looked surprised.

"Wait so you're not gonna do anything to get me back?" Jace asked.
"Nope." I said popping the 'p'. Jace seemed a little bit disappointed I think.
