When I See You Again: On Hold

Chapter 33

Patrick's P.O.V

I wake up to see Autumn's head resting on my chest.

What a beautiful way to wake up.

The girl of your dreams in your arms.

It's the best feeling.

I stare at her for a while then she begins to stir.

"Morning." I mumble in my morning voice

She smiles with sleepy eyes and replies with a simple,

"Morning."

We sit there for a while not saying anything.

Just the beautiful sound of our breathing.

"Patrick......?" Autumn asks

"Yeah?" I reply

"How many children do you want?" She asks

"As many as you want. I love children." I reply

"What about four?" Autumn asks

"That sounds just lovely...... I can't wait to see the day where you hold our baby in your arms." I tell her

"I can't wait to see the day where you become the proud father of our baby. Together. And I can't wait to see you hold our baby in your arms." She tells me

"That'll be the day......" I comment

"That'll be the day what?" Autumn asks

"That'll be the day, where I fall in love with you on a whole different level." I state

"You'll be the Father of my baby. And the baby I'll hold in my arms will be what we made together. Isn't life beautiful?" Autumn asks me

"It sure is......." I say looking at her

Autumn leaves to go shower and I'm just in the guest bedroom deep in my thoughts.

Tomorrow is Autumn and I's one year anniversary since we started dating.

Well actually we've known each other for more like four years.

But then the 'accident.'

Lets just say its our one year anniversary since we started dating again.

And I really wanna do something big for her.

I just don't know what it is but it's going to be big.

Hmmmmmm?

Ohhhh I've got it!

....................

So today is the big day of Autumn and I's anniversary.

Lets just hope everything goes well.

I have to go pick her up in a half an hour.

I wear a white dress shirt with some black dress pants. And a black tie. Typical fancy outfit.

I also wear a black suit jacket over top.

I gotta say I do look pretty sharp.

I comb my hair one last time and head out the door.

It's about a ten minute drive from my place to hers. But I get there on time.

I knock on her door and she opens it looking gorgeous as ever.

She has her hair half up half down with her natural curls flowing down. Then she's wearing a black and white dress that goes to her knees. It's a white dress with a black braided belt.

I guess we match.

We aren't one of those couples.

It just so happened to turn out that way.

"Wow.." I mumble

"Patrick....." She says blushing

"Look at you?!" I say

"Look at you! You clean up great!" She says walking towards me

"Ready to go?" I ask

"Yup." Autumn replies as she starts locking up her apartment

We start to drive and I can tell Autumn is curious where we are going.

It takes us about five minutes to reach our destination.

I take her hand and we start walking. I lead her to where we first bumped into each other.

At the bench early in the morning where we bumped into each other and I helped her up.

I had rose peddles laid on the path in front of the bench and on it.

That's where fait brought us back together and put me on a love roller coaster.

"This is so sweet!" She comments

"No one has ever done something like this for me!" Autumn continued to say

"That's why I did this." I reply

Next I take her out for a lovely dinner and we laugh the night away.

She tells me how the dinners to expensive and how she's not worth it.

But she is.

After dinner I take her to the place where I saw her again.

At the pond.

Actually it's the pond that's by the bench we first saw each other at.

She was leaning over the edge and then she turned around and we bumped right into each other, again.

Fait sure does have a funny way of connecting people together.

It's dark out side and we get just enough light from a distance park light to see each others faces and the objects around us.

And I also put flower peddles at this location too.

Romantic.

"Patrick...... this is to much!" Autumn tells me as we are face to face

I spin Autumn around to look at the flower peddles closer.

And with the flower peddles I spelt out
'Will You Marry Me?'

She looks at the flower peddles surprised, blown away and mesmerized.

I get down on my one knee and pull out the box with the ring in it.

Autumn holds her hands over her mouth and looks at me with a
'Are you serious?'look.

I nod my head.

And she leaps into my arms.

"Yes I'll marry you! Yes Patrick Timothy Kane! I'll marry you and become Mrs. Patrick Timothy Kane!" Autumn says as she starts to kiss me

I get off of my knees and kiss her to death.

I look at her with love and say,
"We're engaged!"
