Damon stood in the grand hall of the Mikaelson mansion, focusing on the swirling energy in his palm. The magic responded smoothly today—controlled, fluid. A flick of his wrist sent a candle flame stretching unnaturally high before he clenched his fingers, snuffing it out instantly. He exhaled, pleased.
"Well, well, aren't you a sight to behold?"
Damon startled slightly at Kol's voice, but he masked it with an easy smirk. He turned to find the Original leaning against the doorway, arms folded, dark eyes alight with mischief.
"Admiring my skills, Kol? I'm flattered."
Kol pushed off the wall, sauntering forward with the grace of a predator. "Oh, I'm admiring something, darling. But it's not your magic."
Damon scoffed, but Kol was suddenly in front of him, close enough that Damon could see the wicked glint in his eyes. Before he could react, Kol's hand curled around his jaw, tilting his face up.
"You should really stop looking so tempting all the time," Kol murmured before pressing his lips against Damon's.
For a moment, Damon froze. Then, heat flooded his body, his magic flaring wildly before he wrenched himself away, heart pounding. Kol's smirk widened, eyes flickering with amusement.
Damon didn't wait for another taunt—e vamp-ran from the room, needing space, needing—
"Running away so soon?"
Damon barely had time to process before he nearly collided with Elijah. The elder Mikaelson stood poised as ever in the library, book in hand, an amused quirk to his lips.
Damon swallowed hard. "Just—getting away from your overly handsy little brother."
Elijah hummed, setting his book aside and stepping forward. Damon was suddenly aware of how the dim candlelight cast golden hues over Elijah's sharp features, how his dark eyes lingered on Damon like he was something fascinating.
"And why did you run from that?" Elijah asked, voice smooth as silk. "You're not one to shy away from a challenge."
Damon tensed as Elijah closed the distance, the air between them thick with something heavy, something electric. Elijah's fingers brushed his wrist, sending an unexpected jolt through him.
"I think you like being pursued," Elijah murmured. "Or perhaps you like the chase?"
Damon's breath hitched, his magic thrumming beneath his skin in response. He forced himself to step back, breaking the moment before it consumed him. "I need a drink."
Or a cold shower.
He turned sharply and vamp-ran to his now room in the mansion, slamming the door shut. He exhaled, pressing his hands against the wood, trying to steady himself.
And then he felt it.
A presence. Close.
Before he could react. Klaus's hands were on his shoulders, spinning him around and backing him up until his legs hit the edge of the bed. Before pushing him down and towering over him.
"What's the matter, love? Don't like being the attention?" Klaus said with a low rumble, titling his head, amusement dancing in his eyes.
Damon inhaled sharply. "Do none of you understand personal space? Do I look like a doppelgänger who likes multiple guys drolling over them?"
Klaus only chuckled, his hands sliding down Damon's arms before gripping his wrists and pinning him back onto the bed. Damon's breath caught, magic sparking in his fingertips as Klaus leaned in, his lips brushing just shy of Damon's.
"You act like you don't enjoy it," Klaus mused, voice low, taunting.
Damon's resolve wavered as Klaus kissed him, slow at first, then deeper, pulling him under like a tide. He barely had time to process before hands roamed, lips pressed harder, and—
He gasped, eyes snapping open.
The Mikaelson mansion was gone. The heat, the lips, the hands—all gone.
Damon found himself sitting cross-legged in the garden, the scent of fresh earth and roses surrounding him. The cool morning air nipped at his skin. His magic, once erratic, now buzzed in a steady hum around him.
A dream.
Just a dream.
His fingers curled into the grass as he exhaled, trying to shake off the lingering sensations.
Kol, Elijah, Klaus.
Damon groaned, running a hand down his face.
Meditation to control his magic?
Yeah, that wasn't happening again. Never listen to BonBon ever again!
