azerbaijan/ sprint day (yuck!)

sprints are meh.

yes she got p4 but come on. they suck. they make it harder to be ready for the actual race and its frustrating that you're barely ready for the real thing when sunday comes. the only thing in her favor were the five points she got, knowing the p11 she'd start in would be hard to get good results out of.

after getting out of her trailer and making her way through the paddock she caught sight of logan and oscar on their way out as well.

"hey losers." she said catching up to them, earning unamused looks from the pair.

"i don't want to talk to you." logan said grumpily while looking away from her.

"well- i don't want to talk to you either." tali said, looking away grumpily too.

"you don't?" logan said, turning back to her looking like a kicked puppy, earning an eye roll from the australian.

"don't be weird, logan." tali replied unamused. "why did you not want to talk to me anyway?"

"because you have abandoned me." earning an elbow to the ribs from the australian. "us." he corrected.

"i have not?" tali frowned.

"weeeeell-" oscar began. "you don't tell us much of what you're up to this days..." oscar said sheepishly.

"i-" she sighed. "i'm sorry. it's just, a lot has been happening i don't know how to even tell you guys what has happened. as well as the fact that you're massive gossipers." narrowing her eyes a bit towards the end.

"guys, i really am sorry." she said, stopping her walk.

"we know, tali." logan said, giving her a side hug. "we're here when you're ready."

"i know. and i appreciate it." pulling oscar to side hug him with her other arm.

after a bit of walking and casual conversation tali got into the car that would take her to the hotel and bid both guys goodbye.

sunday arrived faster than tali's sleepy head wanted but oh well. she had woken up with a headache and she really needed it to go away. she had qualified quite low on the grid and she needed her head to be fully in the race to make sure she'd get the best results possible.

maybe it was hunger, so she ate breakfast and hoped it would go. it didn't. the headache turned into a migraine. tania gave her an aspirin and hoped for the best but the race was about to start and tali could barely keep her eyes open due to the light bothering her.

now that you have context, you know exactly why tali rodriguez is currently sitting by the side of the grid completely and irrevocably grumpy.
