After hours of huddling with myself in the cave I thought I heard something approaching. "Hello?" It called out. Just Kazi. Phew. He came in bloody and exhausted. "Where the hell were you!" I asked as I maybe gave him a small hug while helping him to the fire. "I do not tolerate hugs while conceeding to broken ribs" Kazi said. Still a smart ass. "What the fuck were you up to Kazi? You can't just leave me alone here while crippled. And you can't go out alone. It's too dangerous."
"I fought the a shadow."
"...."
"I'm hungry, when's dinner?"
"K-ka.... Kazi you can't do that. It's too risky. He's very powerful."
"Oow. Damn it. I got a slash on my back. Can you bandage it up?"
I sighed, "Sure"
As I was lifting his shirt to inspect the gash I saw a huge angel wing tattoo on his right side. "What's that about?" she asked.
"N-nothing. It's nothing."
"Okay.." I mumbled as I finished the bandages.
"The umm the wing tattoo is accually a magic imprint. It gives me special talents. Ones I would rather not share."
"Okay, okay. Now I gotta tell you one too right? Okay. All of my life I have either lived in fear or someone has lived in fear of me. All of my life. But not you. You are the only one who doesn't fear me yet I don't fear you."
Crap. Tia had seen the marking on Kazi's back.
If she found out Kazi was the Crimson Angel... He didn't know.
Kazi woke inside a new cave. Tia was gone. "Tia? Tia!" he cried as he noticed he was alone. A fire was burning low near the cave entrance. He heard a skittering as a fiend-like arachne dropped from the cavetop. "Fffffffail to shurvivvvvvvvvffffe and wheeeeee shaaaahaahhahl burn your lahhhhhnd." It laughed a maniacal hiss as things went dark. He woke up. Tia was asleep by the fire. "What the hell" Kazi mumbled to himself. His stomach growled and he looled towards Tia. She was seeming awfully thin. "Might as well go for a hunt" Kazi thought as he flew into the sky, his glowimg pendant creating an auora of light around him in the night mist. It suddenly got cold. A dry breeze blasted him back, unbalancing his flight. "You cannot kill me Crimson Reaper. I am this land. This land is me"
Kazi looked behind himself to see the captor that he had slain in the past. "How-"
"It doesn't matter. I have come back to kill you."
