Luke ~

            I was six when my mom first let me sleep over at Lily's house. Lily and I had been best friends before then but I was finally brave enough to be away from home overnight.

She was the first to fall asleep that night, so of course with my six year old thinking, I thought it would be a great idea to draw all over her face with permanent marker.

I may have had a mischievous mind but it was still and innocent one, so before you think the worse, no..I did not draw a penis on her face!

It was suppose to be a race car..

But that wasn't what her parents saw the next morning. Of course they were upset, I mean what parent wouldn't be, but after they asked me what I was really trying to draw they both bursted out in laughter.

I was extremely confused at the time, because what was so funny about a race car?

I remember them calling my parents and the whole time they still couldn't stop laughing. Lily sat next to me on the couch looking just as confused as I felt.

But as long as everyone was laughing, I knew I probably wouldn't get into any trouble.

It took weeks for my drawing to finally disappear from her cheek, Good thing it happened during summer vacation.

Usually I'd imagine a girl of Lily's age being really upset, but she thought it was cool that I chose to make her my human canvas.

We giggled about it together as her mom sat her on the counter trying to rub the marker off her cheek.

The next time I spent the night with Lily, she stayed at my house. Of course I was the first to fall asleep because I was so comfortable being in my own house, and I guess it was payback for what I did because I woke up the next morning with a flower drawn on my forehead with my moms red lipstick.

Later on I found out my mom was also in on the whole thing, and to this day I still believe those were some of mine and Lily's best moments together.

Now, here we are thirteen years later..

Lily is passed out drunk on her bed, I woke up extremely hungover on her bedroom floor.

I push past my pounding headache as I hold onto her bedside table trying to sit up.

"Li- GOD!"

I quickly try to shield my eyes while grabbing onto my head. I honestly wasn't expecting that much sunlight to already be shining into her room, so the minute I sat up the brightness hit my now sensitive eyes causing me to squint and make my horrible headache worsen.

"Lily. C'mon, it's time to get up."

Shaking her arm a little I laugh at the way she fell asleep. She was passed out, sprawled out, slightly snoring, and laying face down on a large pile of pillows.

"Go away."

Her groans sound muffled as she reaches her arm out trying to swat me away.

"Let's go sleepyhead."

Reaching down I lightly pinched at her sides, making her to jolt out of her comfortable looking position.

"Luke!"

She half yelled, half yawned as she rolled over onto her back.

"What?"

I found her sleepy attempt of being angry quite cute, laughing to myself I watched her wiggle around in her bed.

"I really don't feel like being tickled right now.."

She gradually sat up and crossed her legs in front of her while she stretched both her arms out on either side.

I didn't even get a glimpse of her face because right away her long brown hair cascaded over it.

She angrily pushes all her hair out of her face, rubbing one of her eyes she looked up a me still looking exhausted.

She looks down quickly to pull down at the t-shirt she was wearing (which was mine by the way) realizing she was only wearing underwear.

"Is this the shirt you were asking me about?"

She questioned, examining the shirt that she was practically floating in and only reached mid-thigh.

"Yeah, I've been looking for it everywhere!"

"I'll wash it and give it to you tomorrow, I promise."

Lily yawns as she stands up on her bed, stretching even more.

"Piggy back ride?"

I ask her, she nods with smile while reaching both arms out in front of her.

I back up into the bed, feeling her quickly hop onto my back. I hold on tightly to her legs as she lazily wraps her arms around my shoulders.
