Chapter 11: The First Lesson

First Person POV, Shao Ip
I woke up earlier in the morning and went to Team RWBY dorms undetected. Inside layed the four sleeping members of the team still in their beds. I needed to get some samples of their DNA so I can have them sync with their ancestor's memories in the Animus. I took out some cotton swabs and swab the inside of their mouths before placing the swabs in viles with each of the girls names. Surprisingly, it was easier than I thought. I was worried that Yang would notice me and beat me into a pulp or Blake would wake up first, glad that didn't happen. I quickly left their room before proceeding to JNPR's dorms and doing the same thing, but while I was swabbing Pyrrha's mouth, I couldn't help myself but to admire her beauty. Her red hair, normally kept in a ponytail, flowed down from her hair to her lower back. She was really peaceful when she's sleeping, especially for a girl of her status and reputation. That moment was interrupted when I hear Nora sleep talking something about pancakes, I quickly placed Pyrrha's cotton swab into the vile with her name on it and left the scene before any of them could wake up. I went back into my room with the cottons swabs of teams RWBY and JNPR at hand. I pulled out my laptop and connected it to the portable Animus Rebecca gave me. I then sequenced each cotton swab from the eight teenagers to find out their ancestry. To my surprise, each of them have an Assassin ancestor. Ruby was a descendent of Ezio Auditore da Firenze on her maternal side. For Weiss, it was Arno Victor Dorian. Blake was Fujibayashi Naoe's descendent, a recent entry that we're currently looking into. And for Yang it was Jacob Frye on her parental side, same as Ruby. Jaune was a descendant of the pirate turned Assassin, Edward Kenway. For Nora, it was the shield maiden, Eivor Varinsdottir. Pyrrha was a descendant of the Eagle Bearer known as Kassandra. And finally, Lie Ren was the descendant of Li E, a Mistrilian Hidden One.

Me: Guess my suspicions are correct, Abstergo are after them because of their ancestry. But what could they all be connected? And what Piece of Eden are they all connected to? *takes out his Scroll and contacts Lucy Stillman* Hey, Lucy. I need you to look through the memories of these ancestors. See if you can find anything interesting that can link them with any Pieces of Eden.

Lucy: *over the Scroll* Got it. Rebecca and I will a look at them. See if there is any connections between them.

Me: Thanks, Lucy. *ends the call and begins uploading information from each of the teenagers into the Animus Database*

Third Person POV
The scene changes to the new room of Team RWBY, panning over to Weiss Schnee sleeping soundly in her bed. Her eyes flutter open and she stretches her arms above herself, yawning, while Ruby Rose, dressed in her strangely-colored school uniform, creeps up on her side and suddenly blows a whistle, causing Weiss to fall off the bed.

Ruby: Good morning, Team RWBY!

Weiss: *from the floor* What in the world is wrong with you?

Ruby: *ignoring the question* Now that you're awake, we can officially begin our first order of business.

Weiss: *getting up and brushing herself off* Excuse me?

Yang Xiao Long: *holding a collection of objects - pillows, pamphlets, a candle-holder - in her arms, also dressed alongside Blake Belladonna* Decorating!

Weiss: What?!

Blake: *lifting her suitcase* We still have to unpack. *the suitcase opens, spilling its contents* Aaaand clean.

Weiss does not look enthusiastic, especially when Ruby knocks her back again with the blow of her whistle.

Ruby: Aaaalright! Weiss, Blake, Yang, and their fearless leader Ruby have begun their first mission! *raises her fist into the air* Banzai!

Ruby with Blake and Yang: *doing the same at her sides* Banzai! *they turn at an angle as Weiss lays on the floor and upbeat montage music starts playing*
