~AURORA P.O.V~

I wake up only to find my empty bed. Xavier is probably taking some pack work right now, even though I would prefer him staying with me. Then memories from last night come back and a smile makes its way to my face.

The clock reads 6 as I get myself up and get change. Xavier usually doesn't leave until 7... I shrug it off since he is an Alpha after all.

As soon as I open my door to prepare breakfast, a pain shot up my neck and everything goes black.

~XAVIER P.O.V~

It is 5 in the morning when my beta suddenly calls me through our mind link, saying that the patrols see something eerie by our territory border. I groan as I get up, kissing my mate before I leave.

My beautiful mate looks so peaceful and innocent when she sleeps, making my wolf and I want to pull her into our strong arms and protect her from any threat.

As soon as I walk out of the room, a strange scent hit my nostril. I follow the scent with my guard up, but sigh in relief when I see my beta, though his expression is blank.

I'm wondering what Daniel is doing here, by the pack waterfall, while the rogues are around 15 miles away.

Daniel walks up to me with a smirk on his face, his hands behind his back. Before I even realise what is going to happen, his hand that is holding a silver bar hit my head. My vision slowly gets blurry and pain shot through my head. I try to shift the wound from the silver bar have stops me from shifting, as well as werewolf healing.

I turn around and see the traitors.

Daniel. My beta. My best friend. My brother.

And a couple of rogues.

I launch and try to tackle them but as soon as I move, they spread around, circling around me.

I snarl at the, showing off my Alpha title. The rogues flinch but Daniel shows no affect.

I launch toward a quite tall and muscular rogue, aiming for his neck. As soon as my hands cup his neck, I squeeze the life out of it. As his face starting to go pale, 2 other rogues yank my hand off. My back make contact with the tree as I howl out, hoping my pack member would hear my signal.

I turn around just in time to stop a rogue from punching my face. The rogue looks over his shoulder and hold his gaze on Daniel. I turn around to see Daniel lightly nod his head. Before I even understand the situation, I lost conscious.

My head hurts as I try to open my eyes.

"Ugh you do know he is going to wake up soon right?" a familiar yet foreign deep voice says.

"I know I know. Don't worry. We have put a silver handcuff on him, so he won't be able to shift. And the wolfsbane should keeps him off for a while," a familiar voice says.

I try to open my eyes again, and this time, luck is on my side. I manage to open my eyes for a second, before my heavy eyelids cover my vision. The light is dim, with speck of light through some gaps.

Basing on the sound and smell, it is pretty clear that they are kidnapping me on what I'm assuming a truck, through the forest, out of my territory.

The smell of rogues is heavy in the truck.

I try to swirl around, feeling uncomfortable.

The rogues must have notice that I've wake up when they hiss at each other.

"Daniel, he is up," the familiar yet foreign deep voice calmly says again.

"WHAT? He shouldn't be up yet. The wolfsbane should have put him unconscious for more than 2 hours," he hisses," Are you sure you have injected the right amount of wolfsbane into him, Damien?"

"Yes, Daniel. I am sure I have injected the right amount of wolfsbane into him," the deep voice, Damien, says, not sounding so convincible.

"How long have I been out for?" I hiss.

"2 hours," Damien simply says.

Damien have dark brown hair with bright blue eyes. He looks around 43, quite tall with a slim body. I can't help but wondering if I have meet him before.

"Have we meet before?" I ask him.

He glared at me before scrunching up his forehead and shrug.

"In a way, kiddo," he says.

"What do you mean 'in a way', Damien?" I hiss at his name, authority fills my voice.

"I have meet you before, though that was a long time before your dad kicked me out of the pack," he says. I can tell it was hard for him to keep himself calm.

My dad was a good Alpha, he would never kick people out of the pack for minor reasons. Though he gave up his title as soon as I turn 18, due to his sickness.

After a rogue fight, a large amount of wolfsbane was injected into his body, making him weak. He lays in his bedroom everyday, waiting for the nurses to take care of him. He is conscious, though he can't move his body or shift.

I was close to him so I immediately broke down when he got weak. After that, the level of stress put up on me as well as an Alpha's responsibility. I then became a player to relieve my stress. No one knows my history, except for some elders.

"Snap out of your thought, princess," I snarl at the nickname that Damien gives me," don't snarl at me!"
