I settle onto a bench at the side of the mall, letting out a quiet sigh as I rest my tired arms from carrying my shopping bags.

The place is buzzing with life-shoppers rushing past, conversations overlapping, the rhythmic beeping of cash registers.

The noise surrounds me like a chaotic symphony, but I don't mind.

I'm just glad to have a moment to breathe.

So far, my days have been good.

Not perfect, but good enough.

We all have those moments when life feels heavy, when the world seems to move on without us.

But that's just how it is-life ebbs and flows, and we have to move with it.

That's why I always pray, asking God to guide me through the highs and the lows.

A sudden vibration in my pocket pulls me out of my thoughts.

I glance at my phone-a notification from our group chat.

Curious, I unlock the screen and scan the messages.

One of my classmates is arguing with someone, their words filling the chat like fire on dry grass.

I shake my head, a small chuckle escaping my lips.

I don't know why, but things like this don't interest me.

It's not that I'm afraid of confrontation-I just don't see the point.

Arguments over trivial matters drain so much energy, and honestly, I have enough on my plate already.

I crave peace, not unnecessary drama. With a few taps, I mute the group chat and tuck my phone back into my bag, feeling lighter already.

After a few minutes of sitting in comfortable silence, I rise from the bench, grab my shopping bags, and step outside.

The air greets me with a soft breeze, carrying the scent of food stalls and freshly brewed coffee.

The city hums with its usual rhythm, and as I walk forward, I remind myself to enjoy the little things.

Life may not always be perfect, but peace is a choice-and today, I choose it.
