This was originally supposed to be part of chapter 6 but then the chapter was really long/I wanted to end it on a cliffhanger so I split it into two chapters. This chapter is kinda short and the writing isn't the best but oh well.

Lyndsey heard three sounds in quick succession; a thud, a scream (presumably Alexa's scream), and an awful screeching sound.

"Alexa? Alexa, are you okay?" Lynn asked frantically. There was was no response at first, until she heard shuffling and eventually Alexa's voice.

"Hey, yeah, I'm okay. This guy just ran a red light and almost hit me! I'm fine though, just a bit shaken up." Alexa said.

"Okay, well, I'm really glad you're okay, Alexa. That really scared me," Lynn said. She paused before continuing. "Anyways, I'm, uh, I'm gonna go now. You shouldn't be on the phone when you're driving, Alexa. Tsk tsk."

"I know, I know," Alexa said with a small laugh. "Bye Lyndsey."

"Bye," Lynn said before hanging up. She breathed a sigh of relief and headed out of her room and down the stairs. She walked into the kitchen to get something to eat before heading out. When she reached her destination, she saw her parents sitting there, giving her a funny look.

"Is everything okay, Lyndsey?" Her father asked. "We heard you on the phone with someone, it seemed like you were kinda freaking out."

"What? Oh, uh, Alexa kinda-sorta almost got in a car crash while she was on the phone with me. She didnt, though. It just kinda... freaked me out, I guess," Lynn said quickly. She walked to the fridge and grabbed some leftover pizza then promptly left the room. She grabbed one of her hoodies and waited by the door for Sam to arrive. She pulled up in front of Lynn's house soon afterwards, and she left with her moments later.

Alexa arrived at the venue where they were playing at about 6:00 PM - the concert started at 8. Her friend Jenna's band, Tonight Alive, was going to playing before them. Love, Robot was set to go on stage at around 9:30 PM or 10:00 PM. She couldn't remember, to be honest. She just wanted to get out there and play as soon as possible.

As soon as she walked backstage, Alexa was pulled into a hug by Lyndsey. She didn't normally like hugs, but... this was an exception. I mean, it's Lyndsey fucking Gunnulfsen; who wouldn't want to hug her? Sam grinned and left the room to go and make sure everything she needed for her photography was ready (she was going to take pictures during the show).

"Uh..." Alexa said, causing Lyndsey to pull away and laugh nervously.

"Oh, yeah, I forgot you don't like hugs. Sorry," she said. "I'm just happy to see you."

"Well... I'm happy to see you too," Alexa replied, smiling. There was a bench next to the door, so she went and sat down. Lyndsey did the same, and Alexa couldn't help but realize that she was very close. She laughed nervously and tried to find something to talk about.

"So..." she said.

"Are you excited?" Lyndsey asked, grinning.

"Very."

"I'm so glad you're finally letting me come to one of your concerts, Alexa."

"I don't know why I didn't let you come sooner. I mean, I get to have a cute girl hug me right when I walk in!" Alexa said, turning bright red and mentally hitting herself for saying that.
