Say It Before You Choke. Ch. 1&2
Chapter 1
There have all been times in our lives that we have wanted to say something. Those few words or that long, prepared speech. I suppose for normal people this is the three words, "I love you." That or "I hate you." We're talking the back-talk speech you want to give to your boss or teacher. But most of the time, people hold back their words, they get a grip and bite their lip.
In my life, everything is run by knowing when to speak and when to keep quiet. When to keep my cover and when to give my secret away.
I guess you should know, I am a spy.
Well, an almost spy. I go to the Gallagher Academy for Exceptional Young Women. Our cover; prep school for princesses and brats, and that is exactly what everyone thinks. And we are perfectly fine with that.
Not even all spies know who we are. A level four clearance is need to know about us, and even higher to know our secrets. Not even all the students know them all.
But that is exactly what we are being trained to do, to learn the secrets and not give them away.
I am Cammie Morgan; and since I will be starting my Covert Operations class, I figured I should go ahead and learn how to write a good Cove Ops report. My mother says it's never too early to start. She would know, once she had to carry a bomb with her onto a plane and diffuse it with only a pair of scissors and nail clippers.
The paper work was a nightmare.
I trust what my mother does and says. She knows better than I, and that is why she is our Headmaster.
Anyway, I shall summarize the events of this past semester, not only for practice, but also as a reminder.
But you'll figure that out later.

It was the day of the Welcoming Dinner, and I sat in my favorite spot by the window. It was easily concealed and nicely spaced so I fit snugly against the wall and the curtains.
I watched as the limousines and fancy cars pulled up the drive way, dropping off girls dressed in fancy clothing. Most of the girls loved being under this cover of rich and powerful, and it was just as intoxicating as candy was to a little kid.
"Oh Cammie? Where are you?" A soft, southern voice called out in the hallway where my little alcove was hidden.
Knowing I would have to leave anyway, I got up and left my hidden haven of silent heaven to face one of my roommates.
Elizabeth Sutton, affectionately known as Liz, was standing at the opening in the hallway, obviously trying to look cool by leaning up against the wall. I, knowing almost every inch of the school/mansion (more on that later), knew for a fact that the wall she leaned against had been recently painted.
"Hey Liz, I wouldn't lean..." I started, but the dark haired, blue eyed girl ran and gave me a hug, getting paint on both of us.
"Oh Cammie! How was your summer? Alabama can be so hot, but there were so many beach boys surfing at the beach...why are you..." She said, finally taking a breath after 'beach', but stopped talking when she noticed the paint.
"What?!" She said, spinning around, trying to see the paint on her back.
"Oopsy Daisy! I am so sorry!" She started, but I cut her off with a laugh.
"I had a great summer Liz. Let's go to our room and change." I said, not swayed by her behavior. This was actually a better start to the year than last year. Lets just say her and I got in a little trouble for the fire.
