Ch 9

Mia and Landon got to the restaurant an he opened the door for her.
She got out.

"Thanks Lando." She said and blushed. The two walked inside.

Shortly then after Charlie and Nicole showed up.
Nicole opened the door for Charlie and they linked arms as they walked in.

Charlie pointed out her younger band mate and Landon to Nicole.

"Hi. Two under Alvarez." Nicole said.

"You made a reservation?" Charlie asked

"I might've made a couple calls." Nicole said and winked at Charlie. She blushed as they walked to seats close to Mia and Landon.

"So. What was your sudden urge to ask me out?" Landon asked Mia.

"Well I've always had this small crush on you so it was gonna happen one of these days. But then I thought. Why not now? And I asked." Mia said.

"Aww. You could hear Mia's southerness show through that." Nicole said.

The four all ordered.

"I'm gonna go to the bathroom." Mia said and stood up. Charlie and Mia slowly got up and followed her.

Landon glanced up.
/huh? I could've sworn I just saw Nicole and Charlie walk by. Maybe I'm crazy.. Yeah. I am./ he thought.

Mia was washing her hands. Charlie tapped her on her shoulder.

"Oh my. Charlie. You scared me." She said and gave her and Nicole a hug.
"Okay. How am I doing?"

"Great. Why are you hiding your southern accent a little?" Nicole asked.

"I am? I haven't noticed." Mia said.

"When you talk to us your voice is cute with that southern vibe and it's excited but when you talk to Lando. Your voice is cute but toned down and more quiet and not very you." Charlie said.

"Couldn't agree more. Lando is gonna like you for you. Your goofy quirky and cute self is the one who should be out there with him. Not this quiet shy cute self." Nicole said.

"I'm just nervous. I don't know what happens. When I'm around him my mind goes blank and I forget how to be me. I feel."

"Lost." They all said at the same time.

"Woah. We just did the thing that twins usually do. Like say the same thing at the same time." Mia said and giggled.

"Aw. Mi mi. You're so cute." Nicole said. "Take this you out there and be you."
Nicole turned Mia around and shoved her outside of the bathroom.
Mia stumbled out.

"Thanks Nicky." Mia said to herself. She put a smile on her face and walked back to the table.

"Hey." Landon said.

"Hi." Mia said.

Charlie and Nicole snuck past the two and sat down. They all ordered and waited for their food.

"How long do we have to keep us a secret?" Charlie asked Nicole.

"I think we should wait until X factor is over. So people will focus more on the music and the dream here. And not just our relationship."

"I understand." Charlie said and looked down.

"Hey." Nicole said. "I love you. And that all that matters." She said and put her hand on Charlie's. She kissed her hand.

"You know that I love you too. But. I really want to be able to show it." Charlie said.

"I understand baby. I really do." Nicole said and nodded.
Charlie interlocked their fingers. They got their food but refused to let go.
