Ch 11

Charlie woke up in tears.

"What's wrong babe?" Nicole asked her sleepily.

"My dads birthday. It's today." She said.

"Come here." Nicole said and gave her a hug.
Mia climbed into the bed with them and they laid together in each other's arms.

"He would be so proud of you Charlie." Mia said.

"Yeah. Look at how far we've come. We're in the finals on the X factor, doing what we love, and people like what we do. It's the dream." Nicole said. Charlie nodded. Nicole kissed her and Mia wiped her tears away.

"Thanks you guys." Charlie said. Mia and Nicole hugged her tighter.

LATER

Mia and Landon were talking by
wardrobe.

"The kids always grow up so fast." Nicole said and pretended to shed a tear.

"I know." Charlie said. "You think that it's a bad idea to spy on our friends who happen to be dating?"

"Of course not. We basically set them up so it's our right to spy." Nicole said.

"I love you." Charlie said and kissed her.

"I love you." Nicole said to her.

"Did I see that right?" Landon asked Mia.

"What?"

"Nicole and Charlie?"

"They're together."

"Oh. I always wondered about that but I never asked." He said. "Good for them. I'm proud of them."

"Yeah. It was a match made in heaven." Mia said as they looked at Charlie and Nicole who were now talking.

"Landon! Fix the mics!" His boss yelled.

"On it!" He said back to him and mouthed I'm sorry to Mia. He kissed her on the cheek and left.
Mia saw her two best friends walking towards her.

"So. How'd that go?" Charlie asked her.

"Our normal conversations. We talk. He gets yelled at for not working and he kisses me on the cheek." Mia said.

"The troubles of dating an assistant." Nicole said. She grabbed a guitar and put the strap over her head and it hung from her shoulder."

"He said that he was happy for you guys."

"Oh. That sweetie." Charlie said.

"Yeah. He's a sweetheart." Nicole said.
Mia nodded. The three walked on to the stage.

There were four stools sitting up. The three sat down. Nicole started to play the guitar with the other parts of the band on a track.

The three got to the middle of the second verse of skyscraper.

"Dreams do come true. Ain't that right y'all?" Mia asked. The audience applauded.

"Here's one of mine." Charlie said. "Give it up for ms. Demi lovato!"

The audience applauded louder.
The four sang together and they walked off of the stage when they finished.

They walked back to wardrobe.

"Better go talk to yo boy mi mi." Nicole said. Mia nodded and walked over to Landon. She got on her toes and covered his eyes.

"Guess who?" She said.
Landon turned around with a smile and picked her up in a tight hug.
