By the time I get back to my room, I am exhausted. People look into my door while coming in and out of rooms behind me. The bathroom door is slightly cracked and I can see the light shining onto the mirror. I see my face for the first time since I left my apartment this morning and I look greenish. I feel my stomach start to grumble and I imagine myself eating a burger. Unfortunately, I'm not allowed to eat anything. The doctors say I can't keep anything down at the moment.
Once I lie down on my bed, I grab the remote and turn the TV on to distract myself from the growing ache in my stomach. I watch the news for a while, but I'm not as into it as I usually am. I'm not really into anything anymore. Ever since 'The Blur' disappeared, no one has had a very good story and I mean no one. The stories that they have come up with isn't that interesting, but I watch it anyway because there's nothing else to watch.
While I am watching the news, a thought pops into my mind. I wonder if they can have someone go to my apartment to get a few things for me. I'm assuming that I'm going to be here for a while, they have to at least give me that. So I find my remote that has the emergency button on it to call the nurse, and I press it a bunch of times. Or at least until the nurse rushes in. When the nurse finally gets to my room, she comes in huffing and puffing.
"What? What is it? Are you hurt? Is everything okay?" She scrambles to my bed and starts examining me.
"I'm fine, I'm fine. I promise. I just need to ask a question." I say, looking away as she tries to shine her little flashlight into my eyes. I blink a few times to get rid of the small little dots in my vision.
"Really?? Then why did you press the button so many times?!" She sounds annoyed. I laugh a little and I notice her loosen up a bit, but that quickly goes away, considering her face is starting to get a little red.
"Because I thought it would make you get here faster." I try to sound as nice and sweet as I can. The angry look on her face slowly fades as she laughs a little, shaking her head. She brings a hand to her face to rub her temples.
"That's not funny. What do you need?" She asks putting her hands on her hips.
"I was wondering if someone could go by my apartment and pick me up a few things. It's really boring in here and I'm tired of playing games on my phone and watching TV. Pretty please?" I beg. She smiles then tells me to hold on a second. She comes back with a small, hispanic man. He flashes a bright smile towards me as he walks into the room.
"This is Larry. He's the one that gets whatever people need from their homes when they are here sick and can't leave on their own." He leans over to shake my hand and I shake it back.
"So what will you be needing?" He asks, pulling a pad and a pen out of his bag.
"Can you get my iPad? I think that's still on the couch. Also my To Kill A Mockingbird book that is on my nightstand in my room. My soft, fuzzy slippers that are in my closet. The purple ones. My headphones, which are in the kitchen on the table. My drawing book and pencils, they are on my coffee table. And any and all movies that are on the DVD stand. I have a feeling that I'm going to be here a while." He smiles to me after writing everything down.
"Can I have your address?" He asks. I tell him my address, then I give him my apartment key. He leaves the room and so does the nurse.
Clark's P.O.V
I decide to go by Autumns apartment. I feel ashamed of myself for running away from her the other day and any other day for the past 5 months. I saw that she probably broke her arm from slamming her forearm on the side of her car out of anger. I feel bad because she did that out of anger that she had for me. So I get dressed and fly over as soon as possible. She has to be there, all she did was break her arm, right?
