"So, maybe we can go for a drive?"
Alex whispered before my lips could touch hers.

Johnnies POV

I pulled back."Uh, okay,"
I said a little saddened.
Was it something I did, or didnt do.
Did she not see me as more than just Johnnie Guilbert, her friend in tech class.

Alexs POV

Why did I do that. We were so close to kissing, and I ruined the moment.
We headed back to the car and sat silently as Johnnie drove along backroads.

He never turned to me while he was driving so I assumed he was just as much as in shock as I was.

"Johnnie, I should head home. I've got a, thing, I have to do."
"Umh, okay no problem."

Johnnie POV

We drove in silence for a little bit and that's when I pulled into my driveway.
Alex got out of the car and shut the door, the passenger window rolled down.
"What are you doing?" she questioned.
"I'll drive behind you, make sure you get home safe."
"Thank you but you don't have to do this."
"No, I'd love to, no problem,"

I watch her get into the car and I follow behind her the five miles inbetween her house and mine."

We pull into her driveway and we both step out of eachothers cars.

"Thanks Johnnie, I had a great time."

"Me too,"

"Well, I better get home," I said.

"Night,"

"Goodnight," I said then turning around.

I headed down her sidewalk a few feet almost at the hood of the car.

"Uhh, Johnnie," Alex quietly shouts, catching my attention.

"Can we hang out again, just us, sometime?"

"That sounds great!" I said with a smile.

"Great, sounds,...great!" She said giggling and slowly closing the door behind her.

I open the car door, eyes wide, smiling.

I keep biting my lip ring trying to contain the smile spread across my cheeks.

Alexs POV

Wow.

The door clicks and locks and I lean back on the wall.

A grin so wide across my face.

Did I just ask Johnnie out on a date?
Did he just say yes?

Johnnies POV

I drove the distane back to my house, locked the car doors and walked inside.

"You look happy. How'd it go?"
Bryan said, laughing with a smirk.

"It went....great," I said holding back a smile that refused to not be shown.

"How'd your dinner go?" I said, taking a seat on the couch next to him, holding me legs against my chest.

"Same old same old," Bryan confessed.

"Haha sounds fun," I laughed.

"Hey Johnnie, soo, did ya, you know?" he said

"Why the hell do you want to know?" I said playfully pushing him.

"Fine, fine. Dont tell me,"
He said getting up and going to the kitchen.
