Chris's POV
So it's been a few weeks since I was reunited with my sister and today is the day we have a little Chris and Avril time without her and Dylan attacking each other's faces. I get up and head to the shower to get ready for today, Ima take her to the city for once. Once I was out I put on some ripped jeans, a white tank top, some Jordan's, and tied my plaid shirt around my waist. I walked downstairs and into the kitchen to see Dylan, the Dolan's and Alex..great.
"Hey guys, Shaw" I said taking a seat
"Highland" she replied
"Why do u guess hate each other so much?" Ethan asked
"We had a rough past" I spoke
"That I don't wanna repeat" she added sipping her coffee
"Like wat? Y'all used to date or something?" Grayson asked
"Sadly yes, but ion wanna talk about it" I said drinking my bottle of water
"Ya..let's just drop it ok?" Alex added while reading her magazine
"Srry for asking" the Dolan's said
"It's not ur fault, Wat happen in the past stays in the dark" Alex said walking out of the room
"And the light shall never see it" I added making the boys look at me
"Deep shit" Dylan said
"Tell me about it" Ethan said
"So where is Avril?" I asked ready to go
"She's coming..but she mind linked that 15 minutes ago" Dylan chuckled
"Great" I said with a grin
"Girls" Grayson said
"Wat was that Dolan?" Avril said walking in the kitchen
"Nothing ur highness, just that u take forever to get ready" Grayson smirked "I don't wanna hear that from u Gray, u take 30 minutes just to do ur hair" she said messing it up
"AYE! CHILL THIS IS MY CHICK MAGNETIC" he yelled trying to fan her off
"Ya sure" she said giving Dylan a kiss
"We can stop at Starbucks on the way" I said
"Alright Lego" Avril said leaving us
"Ill see u guys later" I said leaving as well. Once I got to the garage I saw Wat she was wearing (in media) and hoped that I don't have to fight someone today. I was surprised Dylan ain't say nothing about the shorts but whatever. We got into my black and neon green Lamborghini and I drove down the long driveway in the city. It was a quiet ride until she turned on the radio.
"This is my song right here" she said
"Ya I like this song too" I said and soon enough we were in a sing along.

But don't be acting like I need you!" We sang making us both laugh afterwards. Once we pulled up to the mall we got out and took some pictures for instagram and snapchat. After we walked in the mall and found Starbucks but it was packed with people so I told her to find us a seat while I get our drinks. I walked up to the counter and was greeted with a girl that looked to be 17 and she had a big smile on her face.
"Hi I'm Ashland what can I get u?"
"Can I get two ice coffees" I said
"Wat flavor?" She asked smiling
"Caramel and vanilla" I said as she punched in the numbers
"That would $7.34, and can I get a name?" She said
"Chris Highland" I said giving her a $10.
"Highland? That's funny my friend used to go out with a dude with that last name" she said writing my name down
"Was her name Alex?" I asked frustrated
"It sure was,..omg I knew u looked familiar!" She said with a smile
"Uh..Ya.." I said scratching my head
"Srry I'm making u uncomfortable, here is ur order" she said with a small smile..aww she's cute
"Dont worry about it, it's not ur fault she's not the "one". I said
"Ya I understand, the mate rule and everything." She said
"Ya but I gotta get back to my sister ill see u around" I said
"Alright Chris" she said waving. As I walked off I see Avril and some dude with blonde hair talking and Avril is looking like she's not liking it one bit. I walked a little faster putting our drinks down glaring at the boy until I realized who it was.
"Back away from the girl Jackson" I said rolling my eyes, this is one of my friends that is forever thirsty.
"Come on Chris, we can share" he said "That's my sister dude, and she has a mate" I said
"Dang..why all the good ones taken?" I said sitting down next to me
"Idk but how did u even get here?" I asked
"I was talking to my homies and saw miss blonde over here and I thought I'd spit game" he said
"Srry but I'm off the market" Avril said making me laugh
"Ya ya ya but we can still be friends, u are my friends sister after all" he said
"Ya sure ok" she said texting on her phone
"So did u find a mate yet?" He asked me
"No..ion think I'm gonna get one" I said
"Aye u will get one dude" he said
"And u have plenty of time, she just might be around the corner" Avril said looking at Ashland
"U think she's the one?" I asked
"Maybe, u should call her tomorrow since her number is on ur cup" she said causing me to look at my cup
"And both of y'all go tattoos and everything" Jackson added
"Ya I guess" I said. After about an hour it was 6 and me, Avril, and Jackson were in a store called ToxicWasteland and it was for gothic and punk rockers like me and Avril. We were shopping until I got a mindlink from Dylan.
"Yall coming home or no?"
"Ya we about to leave we in the last store"
"Alright, see u when u get home"
After we were done we said goodbye to Jackson and drove home. Once we got out the car Avril ran up to Dylan giving him a long kiss making me turn my head, maybe I should call Ashland..I wanna be able to kiss someone like that and I don't care she's not my mate. When I got in I put all the stuff I got from the mall in my closet and walked downstairs for dinner. After dinner I walked to my room to be stopped by Alex..Great.
"Listen..Highland. Ik things between us back in the day where..rough but I wanna put that behind us." She said
"Me to. And I have to say I still have feelings for u it's just that the mate stuff can make things difficult." I said
"Ya Ik I still have feelings for u to but I want u to be happy" she said
"Ya me to" I said
"So Ima let the past go and start looking for my mate" she said
"Me too, I actually got a girls number today" I said grinning
"Really? Me too. Wats her name?" She asked
"Ashland" I said
"My..best friend?.." she said
"Ya..Idk if she's the one bc we didn't touch so Idk if there will be sparks or not so I plan on asking her out" I said
"Oh..well I got a number from some dude named Kendall" she laughed
"Well good luck" I said smiling
"U too..Ill see u around Highland" she said
"U too Shaw..u too" I said give her a hug, to bad there were no sparks.
Once she went in her room I went in my and got ready for bed hoping Ashland is the one for me.
