After everything we've been through, tour included, a break is just what we needed. Andi went back to her apartment after the second night and I decided to give her some space.

Calling the guys into the studio was the easiest thing in the world. All of them were open to coming in and I even called Sam last moment to see if he would like to join us. I haven't talked to him as much recently and I really miss getting his opinion, he's always got one, no matter what the subject.

We took the last available studio, lucky to get one at all. I arrived early and was fortuitous enough to think to bring beverages in, although I got to the studio early enough that I have a nice long wait ahead of me for the others. By the time they get here I may have no coffee left to give them.

The lights have barely been on for a minute when someone walks through the door.

"Hey Hunter, how's it going?"

I turn in surprise. "Hey Sam I'm doing okay, how about yourself?"

"No complaints."

I'm about to ask after his own music endeavors when he raises his hand and falls onto the couch along the side wall. "Which one is mine?" He questions, looking over the travel mugs on the coffee table.

"The one that has the letters S-A-M, do you need help reading now?"

He grabs one of the cups and grins at me. "Hey, you're not the only one to depends on coffee to function. Now..." He leans back, a smile plays on his face. "Some of the guys have been talking."

Great, what rumor is going around now? I turn the swivel chair around to confront whatever he says. "Alright?"

"Tell me a little about Andi."

I can't stop from smiling at her name. Sam's eyes look ready to pop right out of his head.

"I didn't believe it until now." He says almost like he's holding his breath.

"What?"

"You're in love." The way he says it rubs me the wrong way. He makes it sound bad, ugly even.

"So what? You don't know her."

"Sorry. I'm just worried, you always seem to pick the girls who don't deserve you. Em for instance."

"Andi is nothing like Em. She cares about others more than herself, she loves music and she loves me."

"Hunter, when are you going to see that you fall too hard too fast? You've known her for how long?"

"I met her at the New Orleans show on out Tattoo tour." I feel myself getting defensive. I was hoping to have a nice talk with my friend but Sam is blowing this way out of proportion.

"Just... You need to give it time Hunter, if you scare her away by pushing too hard you might lose any relationship that you could have had."

"You don't know Andi." I say it again, feeling like he didn't catch it when I said it before.

"Yeah, but I know you."

"What's that supposed to mean?" Before he can respond I leap out of my chair. "The truth is I can see a future with Andi, I can see growing old with her and having kids and being happy! I plan on marrying her!"

At this moment the rest of the guys turn up. They heard the last half of what I said, it would have been hard not to, I was kind of yelling.

"Ooh, I told you! Head over heels!" Steve shouts and points at me, he's laughing.

"Okay, let's just calm down. Hunter I'm sorry I didn't mean anything by it." Sam looks apologetic and under his eye, as well as the looks I'm getting from the rest of the guys, I would like nothing better than to leave. But even as the youngest I'm still the band's leader.
