Nandu's POV

It was all Navya's doing. One Random day, while we were chatting about the performances of the Annual Day. Rihaan said it would be a pleasure to dance with me, that too as a duo. That's when Surya asked what song you would choose to dance with her if she said Ok. He, after thinking, said 'Saree ka fall sa'.

When we went to the Principal's cabin, we submitted the programme list. The principal asked about my performance. I just smiled off but he was persistent about my performance. Then he asked whether I liked to perform solo or in a Duo.

Without being silent Navya said about Rihaan and his song. I thought he would reject and I would be at peace, but he wrote our names. The next day, he announced that performances should be mashups except for a few names. That's how everything happened. And I'm glad Rihaan didn't make it hard and followed my instructions.

Mom hummed, but her face showed exactly the opposite. While Manik was not at all glancing at me, he was having his food. I remember him saying to stay away from Rihaan even when Rihaan was talking with me. Now dancing with him, I know what will be going on his mind. That's why he was not at all glancing at me. But I haven't done anything wrong.

"Manik, why are you so silent?". Mom questioned. To which he answered, 'I'm tired.' I chuckled. I suppressed it by drinking water. That's when Mom glared at me, which made me laugh further. That's when water gushed out from my mouth as it entered my windpipe, making it difficult to breathe for a minute. Mom patted my head while Manik came towards me, patting my back. Grandpa asked, That's why we shouldn't laugh while having food. I became normal even though there was a little burning sensation all over my head.

Mom asked," What did you remember to laugh that much? ". I said," It's nothing". But Mom didn't give up. When everyone's eyes narrowed at me, I spilt the beans. I again laughed seeing their faces. Mom called, "Nandu" That's when I said, "Even Laila mam said that the same thing".

Grandpa asked," What is there to laugh at this? Everyone will be tired after performances and all". Even Mom and Manik's eyes resonated the same. But only I know. I said, " You don't get it, Santa. She didn't say this after performances. She said this before our performances. Mom questioned, " Means..!". Your Grandson and his friends made them tired even before the programme started. They were strictly prohibited from the backstage area until their song. Your Grandson took it to another level and flirted with our Madam. I said it like a story with so much expression. But no one acted as I expected except they both smiled and resumed their eating. While I pouted with disappointment.

They didn't react as I expected. I huffed. "You guys didn't say anything to Manik, while you're interrogating me about everything", I felt annoyed. They again smiled and resumed their eating.

It's so annoying, that you have to explain everything being a girl. while boys can do anything they want. I huffed and resumed eating. But my appetite was long gone. Seeing my grandpa, I'm ushered to say, " If you're done with your food, have some dessert. I merrily got up to have some ice cream, but grandpa asked, "Where are you going!?" "For Dessert!",I replied. "It's before you", he said opening the container. My happiness was short-lived. It was kheer not at all my favourite. You said you ordered our favourite food, but everything was only like Manik's. With that, I fake-angered. To which grandpa's face lost all colour. He doesn't want to upset me, I know. But thinking about his grandson only is not fair, especially after this long day.

"Nanduu..", Mom stared at me not to make fusss over it. But I was annoyed that no one was thinking about me. Everyone is thinking about Manik, even me, which annoyed me more. But Grandpa asked What do you want to have?" "Ice cream, my eyes lit up.

'Okay, come .we'll go and get it. But Mom started, "It's okay 'pa'. It is not the appropriate time to have it. I'll buy her tomorrow. "

"You go Nandu. Manik will accompany her. You don't worry about her. It's the age where they can have everything they want, unlike us. See, for you, you can't even have time for food peacefully. While for me, my health won't let me have everything I want", Grandpa said and glanced at Manik.
