Jessie's POV

I was currently at school sitting through this boring class of Spanish when there was an interruption at the door.

“The word Estar is used in more ways than-” My Spanish teacher, Ms. Wright tried to explain.

“Hello Mrs. Wright, can I have a word with one of your students?” A deep voice said as I looked up and into the eyes of Mr. Pierce.

“Yes of course! Which student do you wish to speak to?”

‘Please don’t be me! Please don’t me!’ I thought in my head

“Miss. Corvel.” He said looking at me with a smirk on his face.

I internally growled at him and sighed as I got up and followed him out the door.

“I knew it!” I exclaimed while we walked down the hallway.

“Yeah, I have something important to tell you. It’s about James.” He said in a serious voice.

‘He couldn’t be serious could he? He was just smirking in the classroom. What about James? Is he ok?’

He looked at my worried face and started laughing uncontrollably.

“You should see your face right now!”

My mouth was agape and I stared at him incredulously.

“You jerk!” I slapped his arm.

“Miss. Corvel, what are you doing calling a teacher a jerk and physically abusing him?” I stopped in my place and looked at who was talking.

‘Uh-oh!’ I thought to myself

“I-uh, we were um…” I couldn’t finish my sentence because what could I say?

“We were just playing Mr. Ross, no big sweat!” Mr. Pierce saved me.

He eyed us suspiciously but continued on his way.

‘Phew! That was a close one!’

“That was a close one!” As if he could read my thoughts. “So yesterday when I was at your house, (A/N He was over there to play with James) I overheard you on the phone with Shelly and-”

Just then, his phone began to ring playing Justin Timberlake’s Spaceship Coupe.

His face turned a small tint of red that was barely noticeable.

“I really need to change that ringtone.”

“Ahoy!” He answered the phone.

I silently laughed at the way he answered the phone.

When I looked up at him his face instantly paled, “Seriously?”

“When did she get there?”

My ears perked up when he said ‘she’.

‘Who was he talking about?’

‘Jealous?’

‘I don’t have time for you right now!’

“How long did she say she was staying?”  I was interrupted by his voice. He was seething!

“Tell her I’m not dropping what I’m doing to come and see her.”

“I thought she was happy we broke up!”

“I can’t fucking believe it! Listen bro, I have to go I’m at school.” He hung up and turned towards me.
