~ Zilla out
Zillas PovAs I stepped into the dimly lit room, a sense of stillness enveloped me, compelling me to pause for just a moment. The faint click of the door echoed behind me as I turned to see Athena, standing with a gentle smile as she quietly secured the entrance. Something was reassuring in her nod, a silent acknowledgment that I wasn't alone in this moment.
With a deep breath, I made my way towards Arrow, who was slumped in a corner of the room. I approached him slowly, placing my hand lightly on his shoulder as I peered down into his troubled eyes.
"Apollo? Can we talk?" I asked, my voice barely above a whisper, as I straightened up to face him.
He responded with a slow, deliberate movement, releasing his hold on Kai's unconscious form. Apolo positioned himself fully against the cool surface of the wall, his body sinking into the blanket that draped over Kai. It was a tender gesture, but the atmosphere was heavy with an unspoken sadness.
Moments later, Kai finally rose to his feet, turning his back to me for what felt like an eternity. There was an almost palpable tension in the air as he gradually pivoted to face me again, his eyes glistening with tears—a stark reminder of the pain that lingered beneath the surface.
I took a hesitant step forward, but he raised his hand, creating a barrier of space between us, as if he needed that distance to gather his thoughts. With a weary tilt of his head, he released a loud sigh that seemed to carry the weight of all his unspoken words.
Then, turning his gaze back to me, he began to speak, his voice trembling with emotion, ready to unveil the turmoil he had been holding inside.
"First of all, I want to sincerely apologize, Zilla. I didn't mean to say any of those hurtful things. It's just that I'm in disbelief over what happened to someone like Kai. He was always so sweet, with that infectious laugh and playful spirit that could light up any room." he paused then proceeded to speak.
" He was my best friend, and it pains me to think about what he went through. I let my emotions get the better of me, and in that moment of frustration, I yelled at you. I want you to understand that none of this is your fault."
He paused, taking a shaky breath, the weight of sorrow palpable in his voice. "I just wish there had been something any of us could have done to change this outcome. I know all the pressure has been on you and Finn, and I completely recognize that now.
But there's one thing that's haunting me... how did he get bitten? He never went outside! It just doesn't make sense," he murmured, his tone laced with confusion and deep sadness.
I gazed at him, a mix of sorrow and pity washing over me, yet there was also an unmistakable sense of understanding. "I just can't wrap my head around it," I said, my voice tinged with confusion and concern.
"How could he have possibly gotten bitten? He never even stepped foot outside..." My eyes suddenly widened as a realization struck me like a lightning bolt.
My heart raced as I instinctively turned toward the dimly lit hallway, fueled by a surge of adrenaline. I sprinted down the corridor, my feet pounding against the wooden floor.
I reached the window of the room where they had first been, their faces pale and filled with dread when they arrived. With trembling hands, I yanked open the window and peered outside, my breath catching in my throat.
