Lisa pushed herself up, her breaths coming in ragged gasps. But instead of answering, her shaking fingers reached for a jagged piece of broken glass among the wreckage. Jungkook's eyes widened in alarm as she slowly lifted the sharp shard to her wrist.
Lisa: Don't come any closer.
Jungkook took a step forward, hands raised in cautious desperation.
JK: Lisa....
She laughed bitterly, her gaze distant, yet her eyes burned with an emotion so raw it sent chills down his spine.
Lisa: (through gritted teeth, voice shaking with betrayal) Why did you never tell me that Y/n drew that painting? That she's the woman you can't forget.
Jungkook felt his throat tighten, his jaw clenching as his mind scrambled for the right words—words that wouldn't make the situation worse.
JK: (carefully, taking another step forward) Lisa... Calm down. It was in the past. You don't need to worry about it.
But his words did nothing. Lisa let out a choked sob, her grip on the glass tightening as her shoulders shook violently.
Lisa: Do you still love her?
Jungkook froze. Lisa's breath hitched, her eyes desperately searching his face for something—anything—that would prove her wrong.
Lisa: Tell me if you still love her or not. (voice cracking, tears spilling faster) Tell me I'm just imagining things. Tell me you don't love her anymore.
Jungkook swallowed hard, his fingers curling into fists at his sides.
JK: (softly, barely above a whisper) Please give me time, Lisa.
A strangled sob escaped her lips, her heart shattering at his words. Her grip on the shard tightened, her knuckles turning white.
Lisa: You still love her... indeed.
The room fell silent, save for the distant sound of the wind rattling the glass balcony doors. Lisa sucked in a shaky breath, her fingers trembling violently as she raised the glass closer to her delicate wrist.
Lisa: Then why did you ask me to marry you?! I just wanted you to love me, to say that you love me. But I never heard those words from you.
Jungkook's heart dropped. His body moved before his mind could process the gravity of the moment.
JK: Lisa. Lisa, no!
Before the shard could slice into her skin, Jungkook lunged forward, his hand gripping her wrist with just enough force to knock the glass away. The shard clattered to the ground, the sharp sound echoing through the hollow space between them.
Lisa gasped, her chest rising and falling in erratic breaths. Her tears fell freely, her body trembling uncontrollably. She struggled against his hold, her hands shoving at his chest weakly.
