Growing Up A Payne

Chapter 2

I pull up to the house and turn off the car. Everyone takes a deep breath. We have been sneaking around for months now. It never really mattered before cause the dads were always away. We get out and walk inside. 

"Hello" I say opening the door. I see dad and mum on one couch and Aunt Dakota and Uncle Harry sitting on the other. 

"Please sit" my dad say. There was four chairs. One for each. I could hear giggling from behind me. It was Hudson and Hazel. We all sit down. We made Parker and Maddie sit away from each other.

"Harry before you say anything" Aunt Dakota startedd but I could tell he was mad. "Let them talk first" she continuted. "Lily" she looked at me. 

"What am I talking about" I look at my dad.

"How long have you been driving them around" he says pointing at Parker and Maddie. 

"Two months after you guys left for tour Parker and Maddie had their first date. Darcy and I take turns driving them" I say

"Why didn't you tell us the truth sooner?" mum asked

"We were afraid Uncle Harry would be mad." I said

"You are right about that" he says hands in his head. Darcy has a boyfriend also but I don't think we should bring that up now. 

"I am sorry. They both wanted to keep it a secret. I just went along with it" I said

"Darcy and Lily you are free to go. Maddie is coming home with me." Harry said getting up. I felt really bbad. We should have gone in with them. Man am I stupid. 

"Bye Darcy" I say giving her a hug. They all leave leaving mum, dad, Parker and I.

"Parker you are in trouble but not grounded. Room for the rest of thr day" mum said. He nodded and left. Dad and mum looked to me. 

"I am so sorry. I really am" I said

"Lily we aren't mad at you. Just confused. You are one of the best kids we know. You have never lied to us" mum said

"I wasn't lying." I said. 

"She's right" dad said. "Why did you pour water on Caleb?" he asked

"He told Audrey she needed to get an abortion. I was mad about last night also. Can I go to Audrey's to talk to her" I said

"Yeah, be home by midnight" mum said. I nodded and left. Thank god I got away with it. I get in my car and drive off. I can't stop thinking about the conversation I had with Caleb. I am still pretty shocked. But right now my best friend needs me. I pull up to her house and see only her car in the driveway. I get out of my car and knock on the door. She opens it. She is also in tears. I pull her into a hug. 

"Are you ok?" I asked

"No, Caleb told me I needed to abort the baby" she bawls into my shoulder.

"I know, he told me when I saw him at the cafe. I am sorry" I say holding her tight

"Are you still mad at me?" she asked

"No I am not. You need your best friend right now and I am here" I say

"Thank you" she says.

"No problem" I say smiling at her. 

*Harry's p.o.v.*

I am livid. I am so mad that  Maddie and Darcy lied to me. We just pulled up to the house now. The car ride was silent. I park in the garage and everyone but Dakota an dI get out. I slam my hand into the sterring wheel. 

"Harry" Dakota started to say. 

"No no, I don't want to here it. Just go inside. I am going to go for a drive" I said.

"Harry" she says putting her hand on mine. 

"I'll be home in an hour. I promise. I love you" I say kissing her lips. She kisses backs and then gets out of the car. I also get out and get in my mustang. I start it up and pull away from my home. I need to get away from it all right now. I know I should trust my daughter but I don't know if I can right now. Louis. I will go to Louis' house. He hasn't talked to anyone since him and his wife started filing for divorce. 

I pull up to his house and knock on the door. Adalyn answered the door. 

"Harry, what are you doing here?" she asked.

"Is your dad here?" I asked

"No he doesn't live here anymore. I shouldn't e either but I promised my mom I would help out." she said

"Oh ok, may I come in?" I asked

"Yeah come in" she says opening the dorr wider. I walk in. It's like kids jumping everywhere. 

I sit on the couch and Cameron and Cleo sit next to me. They were still super cute at the age 8. "So hows your mum?" I asked her.

"She's ok I guess. Her and Zayn are starting to see each other" she says

"I see. Zayn and Louis were not the best of friends when we found out what happened. How's Kaiden?" I asked

"I don't know. I would love to know. I don't know. Once he was put in rehab this all started and he stopped talking to us. I miss him." she says looking at the floor. 

"I know it must be hard" I said. 

"Yeah it is, now my mom is pregnant again" she says

"Wait what? Your mum is pregnant with Zayn's kid?" I asked

"Yeah, she is" she says rubbing her face.

"Huh, I need to go. Sorry I just need to get home to my family. I can send someone over to help you" I said

"No I will be fine" she smiles. 

"Ok, it was great seeing you Adalyn" I say giving her a hug. I leave and get in my car. I pull out and lights blinded me. Then everything went black.
