I heard their band join me with playing. It sounded really cool and it was kind of a romance song. The music was in the middle between upbeat and slow. I started singing the lyrics I wrote. I felt so alive and free up there on that huge stage. I guess you could say this song was kind of like a Taylor Swift song, but not a break up song. It was just a song that described how I felt about Toby. The music was like the music to a Bea Miller or Before You Exit song. I finished singing and the music stopped after a few moments. I heard someone clapping and looked up. I saw a man in a business suit walking towards me. "You were fantastic!" he exclaimed. "Thanks," I said plainly. 'Who was this guy?' I thought. "You have talent that people don't see everyday. How would you like to be my next artist?" he asked. "Yes!" I exclaimed. I was so shocked and honored. I can't explain how I was feeling at that point but it was amazing. "Alright then. Let's go to the studio," the man said with a smile. I hopped down and grabbed my journal. "Is that thing full of songs like the one you just sang?" he asked curiously. I nodded. "There has to be at least twelve songs in here," I explained. "Perfect," he said happily. He started walking out of the theater after that. 'Finally. Someone recognized me,' I thought. This was the best day of my life. Now Charlotte can't one up me anymore. She can't sing at all. I should know. I had chior with her for the past three years. "Coming Skyler?" he asked. "Uh yeah," I said walking to him. I knew I had a huge smile on my face. There was just no way I could stop smiling. We walked into the recording studio. It was freaking awesome in there. There was instruments, the recording booth, different computers, and the sound board. There were couches and recliners to sit in to plan all this. "Okay. Show me these songs," the man said. I opened my journal to the songs and handed it to him. He read each one carefully while deep in thought. I looked around the room some more. The walls were black with different colored paint splatters. It was the coolest room I've ever been in. "Let's get started," the man said turning to a computer. He clicked on a file with recorded music from guitars, a keyboard, and drums. "How about this for 'How I Feel'?" he said clicking on the guitar music. I started tapping my foot along with the beat. He clicked on the keyboard music then the drum music. "Perfect," I said smiling more. We did this for every song until every song had music to it. "Hop into the booth and we'll get started on recording," he said. I got into the booth and put the headphones on. He clicked play on the computer and I recorded 'How I Feel' first. My first song. Wow. That was hard to believe. I was going to have my first album.
