A/N: Phew, it's been a little while. I must have edited this thing over twenty times. At this point I don't even know what I'm editing it for haha. I have to just make peace with it and move on until the entire story is completed and I'm ready for the next edit.

While I was working on the many edits I took a break to read a book. It was a Korean novel called Katabasis. I don't think it's currently being translated, I read it on Ridi, but if you have the opportunity to read it, I highly highly recommend it!!! It's a namevervse which I usually stay clear of but gave it a try based on the comments. It was worth every page. It does everything you want and hope for in an omegaverse. The Alpha pushes but doesn't actually cross the abuse line which makes the repentance arch very fulfilling. The chasing / repentance arch is done perfectly so it doesn't need to last so long that you lose all interest in the main couple even being together. It relies on natural and emotional angst which makes all the characters feel real. It really feels like the author was a long time reader who decided to write the kind of story they wanted to read. 😚

If you're still reading, I really appreciate it!!! Thanks for sticking around!!! Also, please feel free to comment or ask me anything. It's a bit lonely as a writer at times haha so don't ever feel bad!!! One person ended up deleting their question and I felt really bad 😞. I have this entire story plotted, more or less, but I would still love to hear any thoughts or suggestions you have!!!! And who knows, maybe some things could be incorporated!!!

Daniel shoved his hands deeper into his pockets and shifted to the edge of his seat, trying to lean back in the hard plastic chair. He spread his legs out arrogantly into the middle of the circle, not caring if he invaded anyone’s personal space.

“And when she realized that I was the one who pawned her collectable…”

Some guy named Brad was oversharing regrets that no one could undo. The whole concept of this forced therapy was stupid. Nothing was getting fixed here.

“She talked her mom into not making her show up for our visits anymore.”

“Thank-you for sharing Brad,” Dr. Dlamini said in her overly soft calm tone. “It can be hard to admit that some of our loved ones' anger towards us is justified but once we see their truth we can start to work towards mending the relationship.”

She smiled at Brad, waiting until he nodded in acknowledgement before shifting her entire body slightly to the left as she faced the next person in the circle.

“How about you Kabir?” Dr. Dlamini asked. She maintained perfect posture and used a soft inviting tone as she encouraged him to talk. “Do you have a story you would like to share, about a time when you broke a loved one’s trust?”

Kabir’s brows furrowed as he laced his hands together in his lap. “I do,” he said with a solemn nod.

Daniel rolled his eyes so hard his head moved.

“I borrowed my brother’s car once,” Kabir started.

Dr. Dlamini’s eyes lit up as she nodded. The amount of care and interest she pretended to have made Daniel sick. He couldn’t believe these fools bought her act and shared stories with her.

“Actually,” Kabir continued, “I told myself I was borrowing it but really I just took it.”

“Mmm, that's good recognition,” Dr. Dlamini hummed in acknowledgement. She waited, letting her compliment sink in a little before moving forward again. “How did your brother feel about it?”
